Let’s not tell them they can walk across the border from Mexico any time they want and get a drivers license in California.  That’s scary, sounds like a time bomb ticking ready to go off at any moment.   All that checking passports at the airport when all they have to do is walk over or get shipped in as illegal migrant workers.  They are worried about losing money if they really close the borders.   So it might take another 9-11 to make that happen, I hope not.   Lessons are repeated till learned right?  The up to date list not allowed to sneak in.

US renews terrorist tag
on al-Qaeda, Abu Sayyaf

THE United States on Thursday redesignated 25 militant groups as “foreign terrorist organizations,” including theAbu Sayyaf group and Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda network, extending for two years travel and financial sanctions on them and their members.
In a notice published in the Federal Register, the State Department renewed the groups’ blacklisting, all of which had been due to expire yesterday.
The remaining 11 groups on the list of “foreign terrorist organizations”—including the Communist Party of the Philippines’ armed wing, the New People’s Army—will face similar redesignation next year, the department said.
“By re-certifying them as ‘foreign terrorist organizations’ . . . we preserve the US government’s ability to take action against them,” the spokesman, Richard Boucher, said in a statement.
Sanctions reimposed against the groups include a ban on US visas for their members, freezing of their assets in the United States and a prohibition on any US citizen or person under US jurisdiction providing assistance to them, he said.
The 25 groups affected by Thursday’s move were all placed on the blacklist in 1997 or 1999.
They also include the Abu Nidal Organization, Algeria’s armed Islamic group; Japan’s Aum Shinrikyo, or Aum Supreme Truth cult; the Basque separatist group ETA; Gama’a al-Islamiyya of Egypt; the militant radical Palestian group Hamas; Harakat ul-Mujahideen; the Lebanese-based Hezbollah; al-Jihad of Egypt; the radical Israeli group Kahane Chai; the Kurdistan Workers’ Party; Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tigers; the armed Iranian resistance movement Mujahedeen e Khalq (People’s Muja hadeen); Colombia’s leftist National Liberation Army; Palestinian Islamic Jihad; the Palestine Liberation Front-Abu Abbas Faction; the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine; Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestinev-General Command; the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia; Greece’s Revolutionary Nuclei and 17 November; Turkey’s Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front and Peru’s Shining Path.
The 11 “foreign terrorist organizations” whose designations will be reviewed next year include the Palestinian al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the Lebanese-based Asbat al-Ansar; the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan; the Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed; Jemaah Islamiah, the al-Qaeda affiliate that operates in Southeast Asia; the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayyiba and Lashkar I Jhangvi; Northern Ireland’s Real IRA; the Salafist Group for Call and Combat of Algeria and the right-wing Colombian United Self-Defense Forces.
In February the Philippines urged the communist New People’s Army to denounce terrorism. In exchange the government will work for the removal of the terrorist tag against the group by the United States and the European Union.

Yesterday, our brilliant governer signed into law a bill requiring all public schools in California to teach how evil oil companies and evil automakers, by building SUVs, are destroying the planet due to global warming.

Disguising politics as science is just insane. If (and that's a BIF if) global warming is occuring (1 degree in the past 100 years is about all they've detected) there's absolutely no evidence that it has anything to do with man's activity. There's REAL scientific evidence that the sea levels rose 6 feet between 1400 and 1800 (who was driving SUVs back then?) but in 1000 when Eric the Red visited North America, Greenland was green (hence the name) where they built farms and Nova Scotia was covered with grape vines (hence the name Vinland.) Now Greenland is covered in ice and no grapes grow in Vinland. Don't suppose there was global cooling between 1000 and 1400 - must have been Exxon's evil ancestor at work. When Mount Pinatobo erupted in 1991, it ejected more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than all of man's activities since cave man days.

It's no wonder everyone with any kind of brains sends their kids to private school in California, and that California has the worst schools in the US.

No Jeff, I hadn't heard that one.

Frankly, I lost track of all the garbage legislation that governor Gumby has been signing in recent days. Just wait until he gets “terminated” on Tuesday. I predict that Gumby will “punish” the voters by signing every piece of trash that crosses his desk and by appointing all the gutter-scum to the bench that he can find.

What a total loser!

Hey Jeff, Yea don't you worry about a thing.
Heck you might as well take your muffler off your
Expedition. Have you ever been on Roxas Blvd in Manila at about 5pm?
The smog and exhaust is so thick you can hardly see the
Jeepney in front of you.

We should all be driving vehicles powered by electric, methane, and other alternative fules by now but what would those rich bastards in Texas and the Middleeast do without all our money?
LOL

Cheers Dingo

Ignorant people spouting political platitudes belong in philosophy classes, not legislated to be disguised as "science." let's at least teach our kids to recognize the difference.
