Hi Steve,

Interesting article. He is a bit Kuripot, though I will say. Wouldn't loan a relative who was a laid off Philippine Airlines pilot, a little money?? I mean, it's not like the guy was a trike driver. He also offered the deed to his house as collateral.

Ah well, Europeans are not known as generous over there anyway. LOL!

As for his nieghbor that gave the 1.5 hr speech claiming to be on Rugby and not Shabu. Well, rugby only lasts a couple of minutes, whereas Shabu lasts for hours. I bet he was on  Shabu. :-)

Overall, an interesting read.

The dutch to english translation was hilarious, and some of the insights on the phils opened my eyes, especially about starting a business
