We hear much about the pros and cons of WMVM here. Many men are against it, and from what I have noted, the married men say their wives are agast at the mere thought of it.
I have been corresponding, as a friend, with a RW who has been married to an AM and living in USA for seven years (two real pioneers at this I guess). She was helping me analyze a situation with a particular RW, and I was afraid to bring up the fact that I had some other questions about some other RW that she might be able to help me analyze. I broached the subject, and boy did she set my mind at ease.

OK, I got you... You simply haven't met your Ms. Right yet. I was under the impression that you're in love with that girl and planning to marry her.
No, I don't think that men should be a pan pals with just one girl. It would be stupid to go to the other side of the planet just to meet one girl. Especially if you cannot know if you're really gonna like her in person.
When my future husband visited me, he booked a trip to Europe. He went to England, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Poland and Latvia before coming to Russia. And he visited girls who he was writing back and forth to in almost every country. I suspected that, but didn't ask him, because I thought it's normal... And if he will meet someone else who he'll like more than me then this is the way it's supposed to be. That's why I didn't really make any plans about
him, although I liked him very much.
But we were lucky, as soon as we met we fell in love right away and realized that we're soulmates :-)))
So, this is my opinion...
