Got my girls papers yesterday, spent the evening putting everything together, sent the whole thing off today, it will be at the INS (Nebraska) tomorrow by noon!!!

Boy, that was a lot of work, for both of us!  Now all I have to do is worry that I left something out or did some part wrong etc... ;-)

Now it's just wait time....

Good for you.  Your got that right it is a lot of work.  I asked my lady to fax the biographic forms back to me with her signature on them and they came through illegible.  And I still need those photos that show the right ear.  What a pain!

The INS will not accept faxed copies of any of their forms from what I have read..  You will need her to send you her forms she has downloaded from the net OR you could try to forge her signature I suppose.. ;-)

... in response to Ramblin- You can't use faxed copies!, posted by Oscar on Jun 12, 2002

As a catch-all, I had Victoria sign her name, scan it, and then fax it to me.

So, if I *have* to add a document last minute, I can get it "signed" using a light box, a pen, and a steady hand.

I think I have everything I need... but just in case...

Shhhhh!

It is where the person is facing the camera at an angle, where their right ear shows and the other ear does not.  Same as for a green card.  It is NOT a passport photo which is a face front shot..

The Doc steen site has a whole section about adit photos..

Yeah... that would be nice...

In my case, though, I need to start saving my money.

When our interview comes through in Warsaw, I'll need to buy three tickets to America! (I am definitely planning on flying over for the interview...)

If I get my wish, and I get a speedy interview, that will put me right in the summer fare hike season!

Another case of: Be Careful what you wish for!

Mark,

If you haven't sent in your paperwork yet, you are probably looking at November so I wouldn't be worrying about those summer fares... ;-)

According to averages... (Texas average timeline, three months... warsaw 2-3 months after that) I should have her here in 6 months.

But I am hoping to beat the average time by two months, and get Stas here by school start...

Watch me ;-)
