Did some light searching expeditions and found that the best concentrations were in the strata 5 barrios - apparently the strata 6 folks tend to hit the road, hence not a big deal - but the strata 5 - amazing, they somehow manage to spend the dough on lights.
After experiencing Dia de Las Velitas up close and personal, I definitely plan on arranging to be in Cali around Christmas from here on out.
Having said that, those pics posted of the Medellin lights below would be hard to match 
In Colombia, Christmas is certainly not a hallmark holiday.
