... in response to Spanish tapes, posted by mck on Jun 17, 2002Another suggestion is to try your public library, especially one that's in, or adjacent to, a neighborhood with a fair number of immigrants. You can get cassettes, CDs and videos as well as printed materials. I use the library as a "try before you buy" because they've got a good selection of the big names - Barron's, Berlitz and Pimsleur - in both ESL and for an American learning Spanish.
The idea of finding ESL related materials at a local corner market or supermercado is also a good one.
