Hey all,

Just FYI, there may be some legislation coming up that would impose a 6 month moratorium on Student visas.

This might affect people that are inviting someone here on a Student visa rather than a fiancee visa.

Here's a link to website of the Congressman planning to introduce the bill.

It's talked about a lot but I've yet to hear of anyone actually bringing their novia over on a student visa.  I know a few guys who tried and their Colombian novias were rejected before they got too far.  Anyway I think it's a pretty safe bet that anyone but the rich will be rejected when applying for a student visa.
