... in response to Try this site, posted by Michael B on Sep 8, 2001Thanks,
I forgot the obvious thing to do was read up on it myself instead of taking a shortcut, here is the answer to the first part of my question in case anyone else cares:
Advanced Parole: I-131
Adjustment of Status: I-485
Authorization for Employment: I-765
Also, in case anyone else lives in Dallas and is in the same situation, don't go to the "INS Support Center" near Bachman Lake, it's not a place where you can get questions answered...You have to go to the INS Office located at:
8101 North Stemmons
Mon & Tues 6:30am-1pm
Wed: closed for appts. only
Thurs & Fri: 6:30-1pm
I went to the Bachman Lake location to see if I have to only submit the I-485 or if I needed to submit the other documents that the website says: G-325A (Bio), I-130 (petition for alien relative), I-864 (affidavit of support), I-693 (Medial Examination of Aliens Seeking AOS). It doesn't make sense to me that we have to file these again, since they already had a medical in Colombia, and we have already furnished the others once before. But hey, this is the government and leave it to them to quadruple the amount of paperwork.
Anyone know anything about this??
Back to Football...
Later,
Mike
