Okay, I have taken the advice of Patrick and read quite of bit of the archives but I still have questions.

LatinBest looks like a decent agency but if you also are trying have a vacation (in addition to being introduce to these ladies), it does not look like there are as many ammenties to enjoy. Also if anyone want to give feedback on Luz and her agency, thanks.

Latin Internet looks like a decent agency but maybe with a little better accommodations. Is the agency run by margueart (I know I spelled hew name wrong and I'm sorry). If this is not the agency she runs what is.

And then Norms, I think I have most of the information there from everyone have have talk with.

Are all this agency in the same general vicinity and is that near the nightlife.

Any suggestions on staying in one place and get a short term membership with one of the other agencies.

I plan on going to Cali in November and I just want to make the most of my time.

On different note, I hear you poster talking about red flags but has anyone made a composite list to assist your fellow gringos.

Hi kro,
I returned from Cali exactly one month ago.
I think your question is very time dependent.
As in how long are you going to be there?
And what is your Spanish skill level?
Also, while Cali is a beautiful city with a lot of classical Spanish architecture, Colombia is probably not exactly the #1 tourist destination in SA.
So ya got to ask yourself the question-- Are you vacationing or lady hunting?
Latin Woman Conn. has a condo and you can get a room there
for about $35 a night this includes the agency services.
Latin Best has two houses. Not fancy but clean. Same deal.
Some guys stay at LWC and get a week membership at LB($50), which is a pretty good deal.
I was at LB for 10 days and enjoyed my stay.
Depends a lot on what you are looking for as far as a recommendation goes. Really I only know a bit about LB. I stopped at LWC one afternoon and talked to Robert, the owner, I liked him and his setup. I can say that there is a steady stream of new women coming into LB and probably to the other agencies as well. So reports that are more than a month old are already becoming dated. LWC does seem to keep their site updated. LB not so much, so you are bound to find much more there than on LB's site.
Both are in the north and very convenient to Ave Sixta. There is also an Exito(quite similar to a Wal-Mart) within easy walking distance.
If your Spanish is strong you can also fly solo without an agency according to some of the guys who have been there and I am sure that is true.
There is a pool at the LWC condo but I do not think much more.
If you really want anmenities you could go to a hotel.
Aristi(sp) comes to mind and there are others in Cali with typical amenities. Prices vary from probably about $25/night and up.
Red Flags. I do not know about. Mebbe I am fortunate or mebbe because I was looking at older women I detected only sincerity. One lady I spent time with was far more careful with my money than I was, she always checked change from store clerks and taxi drivers. But she was also 36 yo.
Those who weren't interested in me told me flat out when asked. And while I was generous I never felt used.

They key is the number of available women. Common sense will dictate that the agencies with the most women will be the ones located near the center of Cali. You can't go wrong with Margareth's place or her husband Ricardo's agency. Norm's was pretty cool too. Stay away from Robert Vignola's place. Too far from anything good and service sucks.

Latin-Internet and Norms is in the south, Latin Best and Latin Encounters is in the north.  The night life is scattered about but predominately on Avenida Sexta in the north.  Latin Encounters is right off Avenida Sexta and within a five minute walk of a dozen or so discos.  Latin Best is in the north also but in a residential bario five minutes by taxi from Avenida Sexta.  All else being equal I prefer the north but it's not really that big of a deal.  From Norm's for instance, your only 20 to 30 minutes to Avenida Sexta.

When I went to Cali the first time, I stayed at Latin Love.  The accomadations were good and the environment was perfect for meeting Calenas and hanging out with the other gringos.  I think half the fun of that first trip was exchanging stories with the other Americans.  If I had traveled to Cali and stayed at an agency where I was the only gringo, it wouldn't have been the same experience.

I can personally recommend Norm as a good guy and his agency is nice also.  Another thing to consider is that you don't necessarily have to make your agency decision now.  You could fly in to Cali, most flights arrive at night, check into a hotel and check out three or four agencies the following morning.

Here's a few red flags but it is a combination just not one thing.
1.Girl refuses to kiss you except only on the cheek
2.The more you buy the girl the more she likes you.
3. The girl tells you where to take her.(dominant)
4. Somethings she tells you seem to change the more you talk to her.
5. She wants you to buy her things.
6. Things that you discuss that should bother her and don't because she doesn' care enough about you.
7. Does she ask you the questions you want to hear.
8.Does she smile when she looks at you or are you just another business transaction(free lunch)
9.What does your gut tell you?
10. Are you allowed to meet her family.

There are many Red flags this is only a few examples. But usally sooner or later if you are honest with yourself you will see them if they are there.

You can pick up on lot of things by how someone is around family and friends, good and bad. I feel is very important to see how some interacts with them. (and yes I know your not marrying their friends or family), but it gives you a feel for how the person carries themselves with people close to them, other than yourself. People tend put their good foot forward when they first meet and are around each other. This way you can take step back from the action and watch to get another persepective of someone.

cdrab:  I would like to dispute your red flag # 1, even though I know in your experience it is probably true.
In the first two weeks of dating my fiancee would not let me kiss her anywhere except on the cheeks. She explained that we would progress little by little. This was a test on her part to see if I could respect her wishes. She was just being a careful woman, as Gringos have a rather poor reptutation as players and users in Guadalajara. As soon as I asked her to become novios (boyfriend/girlfriend; relationships are very procedural in Mexico) things started to change. My fiancee never gave me any red flags and is solid and honest in every aspect...I feel very fortunate...Randy

I agree Randy, I personally prefer a woman who's a little more catious with her affections.  In the case of Cali, a lot of gringos come into town for a week's vacation, if a woman is willing to get pretty intimate on the first date or second date with a guy they in reality don't know, it's not unthinkable that she'd be that way with other men too. The level of affection IMO should be consistent with the seriousness of the relationship.

What I was trying to imply was that it is a combination of things not just her not kissing you. I think anyone should be cautious of a girl that just jumps into bed with you.
But after say the 3rd date and things appear to be going well I would like to get a kiss on the lips to reinforce that I am on the right track.

I understand what your saying Clint, it can work both ways.  A woman who who wants to jump in bed on the first date might be a party girl and a woman who doesn't show you ANY affection after a few dates may not be interested in you as a person.  It all depends on the circumstances I guess and the ability of us gringos to pick up on the clues.

One of my favorite tests is the "photo test". Have as many photos taken of you as possible with the lady. Are you grinning ear to ear and she looks like she would rather be having root canal, or is she genuinely happy to be with you.

I have seen many photos of guys with goofy, "look at me with the hotty, I couldn't dream of getting at home" looks on their face while the women look dis-interested at best. You know, forcing a smile etc.

You're right, also take a photo of every girl you meet so at the end of the week you can review them. Good chance in Cali you will be developing that film every day or two. I didn't do this the first few days and realy regretted it.

For example to above post, when I was in colombia in mar there was a girl who was frequenting all of the agencys and she had numerous guys sending her money through western union and even asked my girlfriend if she could have the money sent in her name and they would go pick it up. saying there was a problem that she couldn't use her name. I might also point out that this girl was in the TLC catalog and looked absolutely stunning but was actually quite a disappointment in person.
