That is certainly one thing I think most gringos don't take seriously enough.  I will be able to add her to my company, once we are married.  However, that will more than likely be at least a month or so.  In the mean time, SHE MUST HAVE INSURANCE!!  So I am in the process of buying some temporary health insurance.

I know it's a bad thought, but could you imagine getting wiped out financially because somebody wrecks into you and injures your fiance/wife?

Try paying ICU bills for a week and that'll make all the money you spent going to Colombia look like chump change.  I'll let you know what I find out.

I just talked to an agent here in town.  I think the best way for me to go is to buy a 60 day prepaid policy, that will be effective the day she arrives.  I don't have the exact price yet but I don't think it will be more than a couple hundred bucks total, hopefully less.
