Wife in Peru got her paperwork...and fast!!

Well i havent been back more than 5 days, and my wife in Peru told me she got the paperwork packet in the mail from the embassy!!!! I was like WOW! They told us three weeks, but it was more like one week. We are going the I-130 way since we are married, and man is it fast. I didnt have to sit around waiting for the INS service center to tell me my I-129 is approved several months later and then wait more time for them to send to the embassy like many of you guys i know have had to do ( my heart goes out to you guys for the long wait)....I think the way to go now is get married and fill out the I-130 and take it with the other papers and turn it all in yourself at the american embassy, at least in Peru it seems. Anyway, in the packet she was saying was a checklist with things she needs to go get..police record, shots, ect..also was a form i have to fill out I-864 affidavit of financial support. Now, this is different than the I-129 route, because that way you need to fill out the I-134 affidavit of support form and then after married you fill out the I-864 affidavte when going for the adjustment of status. ...What im thinking is this, since she and i are already married we skip that form (I-134) and go straight to filling out the I-864 because we are already married..(which makes sense to me) we dont have that "you must get married in 90 days or your deported mess"....so looks like she will be going straight for the two year conditional resident status....which is good, cause this phase will go quicker too and get her green card right away...so when do i fill out the I-485 form?? ..which is the main adjustment of status form you fill out after you married.......i told her to mail me copies of everything and the orginal I-864 i know i have to fill that form out, i told her send me everything so i can look at these froms she was sent....just keeping you guys updated as this I-130 route unfolds, i think its better to keep you posted as thing happen ...it helps you guys better, and gives me good feed back too....laterz, Golden
