for you newbies-
if you are unaware of the needs of a woman; if you are unaware of chivalry or gentlemanly ways; if you do not cherish the tenderness of a woman-do not go to the FSU for a mate. While some women have been demoralized and pushed to hurt others to compensate for those who have hurt them (ie the AM who capitalize on their emotions)there are some who are innately devious. I have talked to many RW here in USA who are in dire straits. They were lied to, kept in slave conditions by jealous and insecure men and they are frightened. But like the George Bush Demagoguery that is fed to the world daily-we never here both sides. The time for propaganda is over and the truth always comes out. RW are learning about AM and it is not good. Those scavengers who have exploited these gems are much like some members of this board- self satisfying, ego maniacal and hateful. This is not my life and not my wife’s.
I treat my wife like a woman and she treats me like a man-isn't that what you are looking for?

It goes both ways. Unfortunatly. Sometimes you can treat a woman like a queen and she will treat you like a fool. I think it isn't RW or AW, or woman at all. It is individuals. My story isn't complete yet...it will be in about 2 months...Texas state law... I'll fill everyone in on it then if anyone wants to hear it. But I think the bottom line is that there are good and bad men out there, but there are also good and bad women.

Contrary to the usual blurb put out by agencies, I have never yet met a Russian woman who wants a life of subservience to any man. In that respect they are no different to American or British women, it's only the lack of opportunity that prevents them from pursuing successful careers and enjoying financial independence. Indeed, because they generally seem smarter and more intuitive than western women, those who do have the opportunity seem to do very well indeed. Necessity is the mother of invention, and their resourcefulness no doubt stems from the fact that they often cannot rely on their menfolk back home, for most of whom commitment and responsibility is an alien concept, and whose attitude towards women is base and animalistic. You have only to look at the millions of single mothers who survive there and raise their kids alone, without support, in such deprived circumstances, or the girls whose elderly relatives depend upon them for support, to understand the resolve and character of these women. It is this depth of character, plus their intuition,  feminine sensitivity and (generally)unpretentious  charm that makes them more attractive than the brash, super-confident, abrasive, "in yer face" western women (I generalise here, of course; there are some exceptions, as we seen from the recent deluge of postings from a certain quarter...)

My wife wants to me 'my wife'. I do not know of all Russian women but the ones I know want a good 'man' and a good 'husband' so that she can express her femininity. I agree that women are women but culture is culture-and that is the big one. How many wonderful AW cooks have you met? I have not met many. How many RW great cooks have you met?Most I have met hare pretty good, but my wife is better. I am actually sending her to culinary school in San Francisco. Yes they have dreams-we all do. But Russian Culture has done one thing-created a woman that is old fashioned with very modern ideals. Oh yeah and a great body.
My wife always comments on the lack of taste in American Attire. She says,"Moscow is a Fashion Show compared to the streets of America". So my wife wants to work, she wants to take care of me and she wants nice things-but I must take care of her.. That is my reality and it is ok for me. To each his own.

Being, that your a champ on Russian race-relations: why do most, in my limited lifetime, have such disdain for your "brilliant" anylasis?

I, for some foolish reason, think they feel the opposite. Most, that I've met & spoken with, are rather proud of their European heritage (other than, Afrikaners - I can't think of any prouder).

It's quaint, with all the "Red" cant - pumped in your head - that you still believe these fairy-tales.

I'd like to take a shot at this one. First let me say that this is only my opinion, and not based upon fact.

When I lived in San Diego, I lived in the heart of the Russian Community there, La Mesa. There are about 30K Russians in San Diego, and something like 15K of those live in La Mesa.

Now of course what I'm about to say comes from my wife Natasha, however she has turned out to be a complete liar so I don't know if this holds much truth to it. But from her I constantly got the message that Russians don't like Americans, that Russians think Americans are stupid, uneducated, silly people.

Now I must admit that I did meet some Russians who I sensed this from, and many Russians that I have met I would consider very boring people, not showing much emotion at all.

But at the same time, I've met other Russians who were completely different than that as well, such as Ken's wife Lena, she is an extremely talkative girl, some might even say too talkative, but she is anything but boring. And the girl who I met at costco in La Mesa, she is very nice and she is very talkative too.

And when I picked up Natasha on a Aeroflot flight in Las Angelas, I met this other Russian girl who seemed very friendly, and she was hot too, I was very attracted to her, and Natasha was pretty angry at me for even talking to her, as she was angry at me for talking with the girl at Costco, and talking with Ken's wife Lena. (I guess she didn't want me talking to any girls?) Perhaps I might have realized how bad Natasha was?

I don't know, I don't think I can believe anything Natasha ever said, she is just one big liar about everything, she even told me that there is a growing hatred again for Americans in Russia/Moscow again, I don't know if it's true or not.

If I were you though, I wouldn't put too much faith in what these Russian girls say, if you listen to my wife Natasha, she would tell you that I am a horrible guy, who only wanted her as a slave, who yelled at her all the time and was the worst guy she has ever dated before.

But that simply does not correlate with the truth, she is nothing more than a big fat liar, so if you listened to her, you would get a very seriously distorted outlook on the facts. And if you listen to me, you would hear me say that she was a lazy slob who would not clean, not work, who was selfish as could be, only thought of herself constantly, had no idea what comprimise was, or even how to discuss an arguement logically in any way. She was completely irresponsible, contributed nothing towards the relationship, and I was miserable with her, she made all the AW I had dated look like Angels in comparison.

So from my perspective, I would be pretty skeptical about Russian woman claiming these AM are so bad, I think a guy who is willing to go through this long drawn out process cannot be all that bad, if a guy wanted to trash woman, he could find plenty of woman right here in the good ole USA to manipulate and trash, guys going over to the FSU are looking for someone special I believe in the sense of much younger, much better looking, and who once here would feel a sense of need. Many guys want to feel needed by a girl, and RW many times fit that bill due to the circumstances involved.

At least most people my wife knows in Odessa really have a bad opinion about Americans too, unless of course if you are a millionare, then you are the best person they ever met!  I even had my wifes uncle tell me Americans are on the same level as dogs, all we think about is eating and sleeping.  Ukrainians think they are soooo very cultured because they know their own history.  Good for them, but us dogs are too busy learning such useless things as math and science to be worried about the ultra important things that went on 200 years ago.

Get over yourself already!!  You sound just like what you claim to deplore ("self satisfying, ego maniacal and hateful").  Consider yourself fortunate and help those around you.  I agree that not everyone in this pursuit is ready for a relationship but you will accomplish nothing by just trying to tear people down.  Nobody will listen to your hateful, worthless drivel.

how self respect and respect for husband and wife are alien to you and your conservative friends. Much like Lott, up is down and down is up  and whatever. But the truth is still the truth and many RW are being hurt-I have talked with them. And as from your post I would assume that your ability to be a deal with a RW is not a sound decision. Stay home. I say this with the most sincerity. The RW I have met have little room for ultra conservative ideals.
Example
1. Islamic Terrorism is an example of extreme conservative thinking-Use of God, Fear and war
2. Communism is extreme liberal-lack of faith and basically philosophical
See these women were born out of a more literal ideological world not theological.
So if you are a devout conservative I would suggest Mississippi. If you are a progressive thinker and have an aptitude for patience and old fashion ideas with modern ways then you may be ready for European women.
This is my opinion and for now in this country I still have a limited right to have one, but this too will pass.
