Hello all,
I found those questions rather compelling, alas they're kaput from the archives. I'd thought, with Patrick revamping the search, I would be able to find them. I would be very grateful, if someone could re-post them.

Thanks,

Vaughn

14 Things To Talk About On A Date
by Rabbi Shraga Simmons

A big problem in finding the right person to marry is the inane way we
often date. First, we sit in a dark theatre to ensure we'll learn little
or nothing about each other. Then, as quickly as possible, we become
sexually involved - and any remnant of conversation ceases. After all
what more is there to talk about, "it might ruin things!"

There are many good ways to find out who someone is. The first and best
way is to talk to them. Ask: "who are you," "what do you care about,"
"what are your goals and priorities," "do you want to have children,"
"how do you think you'd raise them?"

These questions are a lot more revealing than "what's your favorite
restaurant," or "do you like Woody Allen?"

Here's our A-list of things to talk about on a date. Of course, don't
pull out an index card and start reading off the list. It has to
naturally flow into the conversation. And relax, one question per date
might just be plenty.

1. Who do you most admire? How do they inspire you?

2. What has been the most satisfying achievement of your life?

3. Tell me about your family. How it was growing up in your house? How
would you have changed the way you were raised?

4. How do you envision your home to look?

5. Tell me about a really great marriage that you've seen.

6. Is there something you've dreamed of doing for a long time? Why
haven't you done it?

7. What is your most treasured possession?

8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?

9. What do you think is your greatest strength? Greatest weakness?

10. What do you think you really need to work on before you can achieve
your full potential?

11. What kinds of things get you angry or depressed?

12. How do you like being Jewish?

13. Why do you want to get married?

14. Do you think O.J. did it?

Here's the 50 questions before marriage:

I posted the complete list sent by the original poster.  Not all apply, obviously, but give a few different slants that can be modified.
