My girl and her son went to Kiev (from Dnepropetrovsk) to get their Physical exams this past Monday.  I sent them to the Oil Refinery office for their exams.  Her report for those of you needing your girls to get exams-

She said that the people in this office were very nice, courteous and prompt.  She had a female American doctor who she said was extremely nice and very helpful.  Neither she nor her son needed any further vaccinations than what they already had (she had of course taken their vaccination records with her).
The cost for my girl was $100 and for her son it was only $50.  No overcharges, no rudeness, very prompt..  She said it went just great and really liked them there.  I had heard that some of the other sites sometimes overcharged and were also at times not very nice to the girls..

So I can wholeheartedly recommend this site for exams.  For those of you who don't have the info on it, I have posted it below.

About the shots, they said the same to my wife when she had her medical exam...no extra shots required.

She had two shots 2 weeks ago for AOS:
MMR, and Tetnus...not normally given in the FSU.

My stepson had his shots updated at the exam also, we thought he was good to go for school here...NOT!
He needed 4 more shots before they would allow him to enroll.

Just a heads up...

The warning about kids' shots is right on...

Even if you dont have to get them done to get the visa, it is worth getting as many as possible done before they come to the US.  First off, Hep B is a 3-shot series, with the last one coming six months after.  Second, you do not want to be held up getting the kids into school because of the medical form (we did b/c my son shows false positives for TB and had to have a chest xray).  Third, it is heck of a lot cheaper, and will avoid arguments with HMOs and insurance.

FYI, many people have their health records in a book form, and the vaccination records are on the first page.  Make sure that they come over here with your new family members--it will save endless trouble with schools, pediatricians, summer camps, etc.

Also FYI, you almost certainly will need to get MMR done for your fiancee as well as any children, because the Russian vaccine is typically only for one of them (forgot whether it was measles or rubella).

Good luck...

My wife was fine, but my daughter also needed 4 more shots before she could go to school.
