2 questions

First. Where can I find flights to Kazakstan cheap? I am in a bit of a financial crunch right now, and I am not sure I can afford $2000 to go see my girl. Second. Visa question, I have forms I-29F and G-35A, is this all I need for right now? When (if) I go to see her, is this all that will need her signature? I don't want to be all ready to send this stuff in and find out I need another document ya know? Thanks a lot.

I'm also looking at airfare to Almaty myself. I'll be flying out of Dallas and the best I can find for September is about $1900 bucks, that's the best I can find on the net. I checked gotorussia's site and found a fare for $1495 to Almaty from Dallas. I'll be calling them next week to see about this fare.

Your girl isn't named Svetlana is she?  Just curious, the girl I am writing said she had a couple of other guys interested in her and wanting to visit her but that I was first...how lucky for me. I'm glad she was honest but I would have rather not known, I think. My point to her was, hey this can be expensive for alot of guys and I would not want to waste my time. Originally, I told her thanks but no thanks and good luck with the other guys. She wrote me back and insisted I call her. She speaks perfect english so it was easy to talk. SHe explained I was her number one choice but there are so many men lying to her on the internet that she doesn't know what to believe. Apparently she has been "misled" multiple times in the past. I think this shows the importance of GOING. Letters are great but when you find a cool chick you gotta go, immediately. If not, someone else is probably going to visit her and you could lose a lovely little gem.

As for me, I'm going in September.  I told her that I felt bad for the guys who are also writing to her because she told me that if I am the one, she will write them and tell them not to come and that she is "engaged". I thought that was rough, what if some other guy is planning to go in early October, get's his VISA, airline tickets, etc... and then gets the "Dear Jose Jimenez" letter? (Here in Texas it's not a Dear John Letter). I guess the girls can be just as good at covering their butts as we are, crossing all the i's and t's.....

#1 - I don't know.

#2 - Look at "Immigration Links" on the left hand side of the page. Different sites have different info and opinions of what to send with your petition. If you like, I will send you an index of what I submitted.

Chris-

There are 2 schools of thought on what to send in with your petition.
One is that you send in the minimum required and have your girl take the rest of it all to her interview.
The other is that you include everything with your petition so all she needs to take with her is her medical exam results.  Some believe that this way will save time in the long run.

What she needs to actually "sign" are 4 copies of the
G-325A form and also a statement that she is legally able and willing to marry you once she gets to the USA.

But I personally would also help her there to go about getting her Birth certificate, Divorce decree if she has been divorced and her police report.  These all have to be notarized and have certified English translations, so you will need to find someone there who can do that.

I would also get a couple of copies of her main passport page with photo and help her to get her "adit" photos taken.  
Also, make sure to get some good photos of the two of you together in her city as you will need to send in a couple of those as "proof" you were there together and have met in person.

you will need a 325A also. If you go to the us emmbassy in poland web site you will get a wealth of info. Also if you are in crunch right now you have not seen anything yet. IF you are going to do this make sure you have enough proof that you can support her otherwise this will be for naught.Rick
