Odessa Star Apr 15....

It seems that the no visa needed for Odessa is nearing reality.
We have received e-mail from our friend there, that $20 at the airport buys a short term tourist. Oh well, I've already sent my application on the 2nd. This was to the Chicago consulate office. Now I wonder if I'll get hit for another $20 when I get there.

Does anybody know if you can get a Visa in Odessa upon arrival and then go anywhere in Ukraine or are you expected to stay in the Odessa area?

This would make it easy to plan a last minute trip to Ukraine: the first time I went my visa and passport arrived a few days before I left.  I was worried they wouldn't arrive in time.

I am close to going to Odessa myself so the $20 visa there is very appealing.  Do you know where this is purchased at...I am assuming at the airport.  I plan to be there June 21st.  Thanks...Rick
