To all,

I will finally end my 15 month stay in Ukraine and head back to the US and to my former job.  My work contract has ended.  I am very happy to be coming home.

I have lived in the Ukrainian community among the locals and with a Russian woman.  I have learned many things.  Some good and some not so good.

When I first got here I convinced myself that this might be the place that I would like to retire and live out the rest of my life.  I have since changed my mind.  There are too many things that I find too difficult to deal with and need the comfort of my home country.  I have five daughters and six grandchildren in the US that I need to see and be a part of their lives again.  So I will return.

I have learned much about Russian people and can give you my observations as time permits.

In this large world of ours there is a reason for the borders that divide us.  Generally it is because of our language and cultural differences.  The US is the only country I know that contains so many different language speaking groups and still maintain a decent fair system of government.  I only hope we can maintain it fair and just for all.

I hope all of you sincere men the best success in your search for a Russian woman.  I have found that many RW here are not much different than woman all over the world.  They are sitll the female of our species.  Not hard to figure out.  In your search think with the brains that God gave you.  Be cautious, you will need to be.

Best Regards,

Jimmy

Both Countries are also a multi cultural success story.

The main difference is that Australia's electoral system is far more democatoc then America;s outdated first past the post system  50% + 1 elect 100% of the positions...  Just lookl at teh shame of a Presidential election.  How can America hold its head up high...  This is the Country that gave us the Red under the bed.. BS...  Sorry but the US has a lot to answer for...  not that we or any other country is perfect but democracy should be democratic.

I look forward to your observations and comment about Ukraine with interest.

"Canada and Australia... Both Countries are also a multi cultural success story."

!ROTFLMAO!  Oh gawd, excuse me while I wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes...

"The main difference is that Australia's electoral system is far more democatoc [sic] then America;s..."

Um, maybe that's because we are NOT a Democracy, but rather a democratic Republic.  It's got its good points and bad, but has worked well enough for us for the past 213 years.  Here's the key difference: we do not vote for Parties, we vote for individuals with Party affiliations.

If you really have an itch to go on an "America sux" tirade, you might feel more welcome among like-minded Canuks over at http://www.dumbassamericans.com/ . (Check out the Image gallary, but not on a full stomach.)

Jimmy - Your posts were always informed, insightful and relevant - unlike 90% of the crap I usually read on this board. Keep posting so I still have a reason to visit here once in awhile...

Jimmy,

I have enjoyed your posts. I for one would like for you to continue to post and share your thoughts as the time between you and Ukraine becomes more significant. I am sure the contrast will get you to see some things differently and some the same.

It will also be interesting to here how it plays out with the lady you left behind.

Welcome back home
