illegal aliens will soon get green cars

Severl years ago President Clinton signed a law given resident status to hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of illegal Mexican aliens that are in our country, mostly in southern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. They have been coming across the unpatroled border by the thousands each week. And still do.  So many are in lower south western states that its almost impossible to monitor or stop it. Soon President Bush will also give legal status to these "undocumented resident". Why - because its impossible to get them all to go back and its not politically correct.
So why am I mentioning this on the RW forum ? Why go though all this red tape - cost, time, etc to get legal resident status before your RW bride arrives here ? Have her "visit" indefinately then become a citizen shortly with the zillion other "undocumented" ones.
What do you guys think about that ?

Obviously it was a typo error. Green cards not cars.
Anyway the upcoming "legal status" for illegal aliens is for all. However it is reviewed by the Immigration Service.

I don't think he wants to give legal status to illegal Iraqies, Sudanese, Yemenies, etc.  Was the last amnesty a blanket amnesty for all illegals?  I think it only applied to people that had been in the US 10 years or more.  You don't want to get into any complications or fines from breaking the law.

WilliamMGi, he was writing a book about being kidnapped by Aliens (little men with green arses), hey maybe they thought they were in vogue with some sort of color coordinated theme-------maybe a type of camouflage to fool the aliens into thinking it was safe to come out and play-------who knows?

It is truly pathetic, to have to jump through so many irrelevant hoops, when they just walk across, and get blanket amnesty just so this country can have a good political relationship with V. Fox et al.  I voted for the guy, (gwb), but this part, has never generated any smiley faces.

So, what if I just went down to Tijuana and tried to do a K1 with a lady that lived only 15 miles from me while I lived in San Diego?  I can imagine the process being held up for even the smallest of paperwork problems or whatever.

I wonder now, if there's any kind of shengen visa thing that a rw can get to mayheeco?  Now that would be the ticket!  Maybe the folks in west palm beach could start a program like this for rw's!  (tongue in cheek oxymoronic humor).  

Seriously though, this kind of thing still P's me OFF!

Heck, I can't even get an extended visa for a lady friend from Canada!  The restrictions are absolutely incredible.

Unfortunately, no.

A bud over on RW-Guide managed to get his RW/GF a visa to Mexico, but it was almost as long and complicated as trying to get one to the U.S.  In the end, the only way he could get her one was to go to the Mexican consulate in Moscow in person with his lady to apply.  With proof of a U.S. citizen escort paying her way, the consulate was more accommodating.

When they get people crossing their southern border they shoot them.  They don't want any immigrants.  That Vincente Fox was up here right before Sept 11 lecturing Bush on opening up our southern border.  At least now we have an excuse to close the border with them.  Drug traffiking slowed since Sept 11th.  I'd rather make up the difference with hot Russian chicks.  

I've lived in California, Texas and Arizona and I still don't go near that border.  Come to think of it, those checkpoints in California on I-5 and I-15 might have had green cars.
