Congressman,  the State Department...Colin Powell.  President Bush.  Sometimes a moment in time is a fulcrum...a great advantage.  You know,  instead of all these petty little squabbles,  all you serious guys should be uniting---using the power of your numbers.  With a focus and a direction.  To help better acheive your goal.  This moment has never appeared before and you should ALL be using it for your advantage...with one clear voice.  One clear message.  Politics,  afterall is a really simple thing here.  Numbers.  You should all be busy as bee's communicating with each other...and plotting a strategy that works.

What?  Why?  I read about all the hoops and hurdles that all guys have to deal with in marrying an RW.  Our former old enemies.  This should not be...it is a matter of good-will and National Security.  Flame me whenever!!!  Its OK.  This should be a state department agenda---not an INS enforcement.

I do not beleive we will ever acheive real world peace until our 2 countrys are very good friends....it would be impossible.  Since ancient times,  countries have sponsored inter-marriage between cultures to grow strong bonds...of peace.  Through familial understanding,  through love and children,  through the cultural exchange through families and marriage.  Through the blood bond.  Throughout the ages,  it has been a useful tool for allies and for peace.

Right now,  I see the world events...this is a "magic moment" for each of our countries.  Now,  6 months ago the political closeness of our 2 countries would have been...quite unimaginable.  Unthinkable.  But,  I feel this moment is now here and if not seized...will disappear.  If 20,000 couples can easily marry without the hoops and hurdles and INS obstacles...I think it would help all the world to be a better place,  for all peoples and all countries.  Our government should be encouraging this---not mounting obstacles.

Your Congressmen and Senators and State Dept and Colin Powell and President Bush,  would I am sure,  welcome a closer and better relationship with Russia and Ukraine and FSU.  You all have some power.  You should unite and use it startegically,  politics...use it.  Don't squabble.  Tim

To once again play the devils advocate..  What changes would you propose.  As I see it a lot of people make a fortune out of this system..  Is it not to ensure that the marriage are legite and not just a "Green Card" excerise.
What is the solution and what changes do you propose should be made..  And how do you protect the influx of illegal immigrants.  Australia here has just held an election and the main topic was illegal immigrants.  Things are changing.. In what I have read the Tourist Visa is a little more relaxed...  You do not need to have an interview anymore in most cases.
