I meet a lovely gal in BQ and decided to bring her here to the USA.  I refrained from sharing knowing critics/skeptics are lurking.  Ive been to BQ three times and weve established a solid relationship.  I have looked over all the info and wonder if the Affidavit of Support should be sent in with the G325 & 129F?  It seems that there is a second piece which is completed later.  Is this so?  Or should the Affidavit be send along with the other documents during the initial submission of documents?

I believe you will not need to file the Affidavit of Support until she is granted her intervied at the Embassy in Bogotá  She can start gathering what she will need now.

Colombian passport valid for a minumum of six months.

Certificate of any previous marriages of both the petitioner, you, and her.

If needed divorce decree, annulment death of husband.

Birth certificate and baptismal certificate

Police certificates from all places where she has lived for six or more months since age 18.  I think the one issued by DAS is good for the entire country-but this is only good for one year.

Evidence of valid relationship with the petitioner.  Much, much better to have too much rather than not enough. Letters, trips to Colombia, emails, phone bils etc.

Evidence of financial support. the I-134.  If you want you can also end one in with your application but I do not think this is needed at this point.

The embassy will then her a package.  She needs to follow exactly what they require.  Remember, the embassy personal are instructed to keep scams upfrom at all times.

SHE will need Police certificates from all places where she has lived for six or more months since age 18. I think the one issued by DAS is good for the entire country-but this is only good for one year. I checked further and the certificate issued in Colombia by DAS covers the ENTIRE country. If she had lived, for example, a year in Costa Rica when she was over 18 she would need a certificuate from the national police in CR.

While the affidavit of support is NOT needed for YOUR B/C package you can include it if you want.

I asked b/c there was no mention anywhere about the Affidavit of Support.  I have the other documents ready.   Police reports from ALL previous cities you may have lived in?  Seems like overkill.

You either send it to your fiance so she can take with her to the interview, or you go to the interview with her and submit it there. Some embassies may ask for the I864; when she gets her packet 3, it will say exactly which one they want. You can also call the embassy and ask them.

You're right. In Bogota they want the I-134 for the K-1 and K-3.
