If it does not work out with your girl....I recommend the following:
2. Cherryblossoms.com....they have a huge base of women form Lima Peru....check it out!! 3. For a singles hangout where you can meet women from Lima....I would recommend the "Old Pub" its accross the street from the park in Pizza Alley...down at the end at the right. Its really hopin on Friday and Saturday nights.
Good Luck!!! Title: Re: going to lima any tips Post by: doombug on January 18, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to going to lima any tips, posted by rj556 on Jan 18, 2005
Staying at the ocean in Lima? I'd avoid it; nothing impressive. In fact, it's got a nice frothy head of waste product perpetually cascading ashore. Take her to LarcoMar in front of the Marriott in Miraflores. It's still near the beach, but far enough away that you won't see any waste chunkage in the water. A glimpse of LarcoMar, and what it offers: http://www.larcomar.com/larcomar_turismo_ofertaturisticalarcomar.htm "Pizza" alley (La Calle de las Pizzas) is a cool place to hang out--lots of pubs, restaurants, live music, and lots of cute women. Random Google bits on Pizza alley: "We go out to dinner in Miraflores´ famous 'pizza alley', a promenade with restaurants ..." "... you can find semi-pros or regular women include places like Pizza Alley..." "For nightlife, I highly recommend the famed "Pizza Alley" straight across the park from El Parquetit. You can't miss it by the large neon Coca-Cola sign the likes of those seen in Manhattan. The first floor of all the buildings are small restaurants." I have not been to the district of Barranco--which is south of, and adjacent to, Miraflores--but many people (including my wife) speak highly of it. Supposedly a little more upscale, trendy, etc.
Peace out! Title: Re: Re: going to lima any tips Post by: Red Clay on January 18, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: going to lima any tips, posted by doombug on Jan 18, 2005
doombug, I did not receive the long email you mentioned. Any chance of re-typing it? Thanks, Dave Title: Re: Re: Re: going to lima any tips Post by: doombug on January 18, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: going to lima any tips, posted by Red Clay on Jan 18, 2005
Yeah, I'm going to work on it now. I think most of it will involve some links I found, a document needed for "remesas," and two more sources you and/or your wife might want to talk to. See ya 'round. I always recommend a backup plan and not do the WOVO route, however, JimmyTeAmoPero did just that and now has a lovely novia. If it doesn't work out with your love interest you might pay MatchingSytems a visit. Have a great trip. When I went to Colombia the first time to meet the woman who was to become my wife, I did not have a backup plan. However on the plane I did get to talking with two Colombians from Miami who were going down to party. After I told them what I was doing, they gave their phone numbers in Bogota and told me to call them if it didn't work out. And if it did work out, to call them if she had any sisters! Typical Colombianos! |
