Gator, or any affiliated with an orphanage in cali.  I am bring down a bunch of gifts for the children.  Looking for an orphanage.  I know gator is affiliated with one.  Any help would be appreciated...

This holiday season I think that all of us "band of gringos" who frequent Latin America
for romance, fun and adventure should think about how lucky we are as Americans, and
consider helping those less fortunate.
Here is a website called Happy Childhoods which I know does solid works of charity
to help kids and others in Latin America less fortunate than us.

There was a poster months ago whose handle was, I think, gator1986(?)and I am not sure of the if it was this board or not.  He came on big time about "his" orphanage but when several posters who live or like me lived in Cali started asking questions he disappeared.

The wife and I do support a small rural school about 40 miles south of Cali past Jamundi off the PA highway. One orphanage that I know of that puts every peso towords the kids is the Instituto Oscar Scarpetta Orejuela Orphanage (I think this was founded, money wise, by Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela head of the Cali Carter but he is not really involved other than the pesos). It's in the San Fernando neighborhood on, I think, Calle 5.

Throw, I warn you this kind of activity is catching and tends to be incuable-at least for the wife and I. But you WILL feel good.  You are on your way to a Merry Christmas.
