Title: International Calling Via the Internet Post by: burbuja2 on September 18, 2004, 04:00:00 AM Does anyone know if there are any programs available to carry voice communication over the internet in order to totally eliminate long distance fees? If so, what is the normal quality of the communication? We currently have Colombia down to 14 cents per minute. I would like to reduce that if possible.

My ex buys calling cards in California to call Colombia for $.05 a miniute and they work good. The one she uses is called exclusive California or something like thamight not be available where you are.She can but it in any convenience store In San Jose. I have been told about a Vantage phone that works through an internet Cable connection. The beauty is it works from Colombia also.I have heard reports from free to $.12 a miniute.I have been intending to find out and get one.Reception is supposed to be excellent. I switched from PennyTalk to BigZoo for calling Peru and it's waaaaaay better! I used Vonage too and the clarity was amazing during the day. I had a cable internet connection, which is shared and I found that on Saturday nights the quality was poorer than normal. If you can afford a broadband connection for your sweetie, then you can buy her a Vonage account and you can talk Vonage to Vonage for free. Title: Re: Re: Re: What About This?
