...of the documents you submit with your petition need to be notarized. Like Dave said, only the affidavit of support will require that, but that comes later. Mail it! Hi Lori, I can't recall that any papers were required to be notarized with the Fiance Petition. Since I usually over-kill everything, I went ahead and notarized the FC-029 (submitting exact photocopies instead of originals or certified copies) and my letter stating intent to marry within 90 days. The I-134 (Affidavit of Support) will have to be notarized, but is not required for the petition process as it is sometimes stated. You will notarize it and send it to Thai just before his interview at the embassy. Please get another opinion or two before you mail your petition. My brain is a bit fuzzy after all of these months. Possibly due to lack of sleep from Internet addiction. More likely due to 'K-1 Visa Burn-Out.' I can't wait until I'm in 'Visa Approval La-La Land.' 8o)) Good Luck! Dave H. |
