Title: I am a daddy Post by: lswote on January 17, 2004, 05:00:00 AM My wife had a 4 kg (about 9 lbs) boy named Nicolas Rapheal Hammond Vera. She is in Bogota and I am in the states so I haven't seen the baby yet. My wife tells the baby is fat, beautiful and hungry. Both mother and baby are doing fine.

Congrats on your new blessing. I've seen you get a little too worked up on this board a few times and hope that, once you hold your new miracle in your arms, you will realize that some things are sooooo much more important! Thats great. You will find out that nothing in life will be more rewarding than being a father. My 3 were the best thing that every happened to me. I'd have 10 if I could afford them. I have emailed quite a bit back and forth with the American Embassy in Bogota, so I have boned up on the process qute a bit, but any advice would be welcome. If you've done that, then you're good to go. We were in there as soon as it opened at 8:30 and it was painless. We picked up the FS-240 after lunch and had the passport delivered in 2 weeks.
