Title: Hello!!
Post by: ChasBah on December 21, 2003, 05:00:00 AM
Hello everyone.  This is my first post and I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Charles.  I have been married to my wife from Cali for three years now so that makes me an expert on how to say "Yes dear" in two languages.  We own a home in Cali so we go back about four or five times a year.  I know a lot about Cali so I hope I can contribute to your online community.

Talk to you soon.

Charles

Welcome aboard Charles!

We look forward to your contributions and perspective about not only being married to a Calena but also living in both countries.

Tell us how you met your wife and what it's been like since.  I imagine she misses the warm weather of Cali being in Wisconsin most of the year.

I guess I'll be the first to ask a question...have you ever considered living in Colombia permanently or eventually retiring there?

Later,

Pablo

Hi Pablo, Thanks for the welcome.  I met my wife 4 years ago when I was in Colombia looking for emeralds, I own a jewelry store (www.outofsolitude.com).  I stayed at a B&B that doubled as an agency.  We all went out one night to some bars and I ended up hitting it off with one of the girl's friends that tagged along.  I went back to Cali about 7 more times in the next six months to get more emeralds (to really see my novia) and got married a few months after that in Vegas.  I have a s**t load of emeralds now!!LOL!!

My wife misses her family in Cali so we go back often (4 or 5 times a year).  She is use to the cold now but would rather be where it's warm.

We bought a house in Cali to be able to live there in winter and then back to the states in the summer some day.  Retirement there is a possibility also.  The more time I spend there the more I want to stay so who knows.

Merry Christmas!

Chas
