I have a question what are the chances of your packages
getting ripped off before it is delievered in Colombia?

If you send anything of much value there is an excellent chance it will be stolen.If you send money,even with U&PS or Fed ex its not likely to get there. Colombian customs opens everything,even UPS envellopes.I had $500 stolen out of one one time.I thought being UPS nbobody would mess with it.Wrong.
My wife sent 4 leters one time,regulasr mail.In each she put some pesos between pictures she sent.2 or the 4 got there,and those without the money.
The best bet is to send it with someone if it has any value.

It depends on how you send them. Regular mail chances are 50/50.  If money is not object try Airborne Express or if money is an issue Avianca Express out of Miami/NY is a good choice.
