Hi

Well its finally November and I am know only 25 days away from meeting face to face with mi bebe. I have never been to a latin country. I have been learning basic spanish and have a book. I have been fortunate because mi bebe speaks english.
I was only going for 6 days and I changed my trip now to 9-10 days. I am counting down the days!!!!!!!!!!

So far everthing has been going great. For those of you who dont know my story - I have been writing and calling one girl for about 8 weeks now. We spend hours on the phone. She gets a kick out of the fact that I call her while driving. I tried to explain that driving is more calm here and that I NEVER use my horn unless an emergency and she thought that was unusual too. I used matchingsys.com and spent only $25-$50. She comes from a great family and is super sweet!
I am glad I found nobelcom.com Helo Lima card because I can call the house for 10 hours for $20. I go through at least a card a week.

I am totally into this girl and the feelings are mutual. She has seen me tons of times on the web cam and I have seen her a lot. We talk about everything in e-mails and on the phone. Her whole family knows about me and I talk a little on the phone with them.

I want to thank the people on this board for inspiring me to look "international". Also thanks to Tommy for a lot of help and turning me onto Rosatel.com! I couldnt be happier right now with the way things are going.

Just for old times sake I visited my old haunt Yahoo personals. I had to laugh when I re visited what I had to deal with before. WHat a hoot. The lists of demands these women have are a mile long. That I dont miss!

Her cousin is marrying a gringo from Oregon and he is leaving Lima tonight. I am going to try to get him to post a trip report here when he gets home. He was there about a week.

I know this post is just rambling but hey this is what happens when a 36 year old chubby balding guy finds something this special.

Congrats and I hope that things will work out. Do you have a plan B if things do not work out? I agree that the list of demands of our AW's is laughable and it is refreshing to experience a relationship without competing for the pants. I did the letter writing thing and things worked out well, however, I did have an alternate plan to back me up. I guess it is the mindset of a continuity planner.

The grumpster is "jim c" (by his own admission).  He said he was going to Cartagena.  I've never been to Cartagena, only Bogota and Cali.
