I have read of many failed marriagies and rommances from gentlemen
traveling to central and south america. I myself have been to Cali
and Panama City. When I went to Cali, I was with TLC and I was cautious and wasn't looking for a wife , but friends. I did meet
some ladies, who unfortunately stopped communicating with me after a
few months. I then started communicating with a beautiful lady from Panama, who I visited and had a lot of fun. I am good friends with her now and am planning another visit soon.

Now for the good advise, if you are fortunate to meet a lady from
where ever, take your time and don't jump into something you will regret. No one wins from a failed marriage and the mental stress isn't worth it. Take your time and get to know the lady before you
get married. It is importantant to be best friends, first and you
should visit the lady several times before you make such an important
life decission. Believe me I know, I have been by myself for a long time and I do get anxious, but know that time is an important factor
for a successful relationship.

I wish all you guy out there the best of luck with your search for
a life mate. Give yourself time and go slow, the rewards will come.
Make sure of your choice and hopefully you will have a happy life.
Another thing that maybe wise to think about, would be a check of
your future mate, by an investigator. This is a hard thing to do, but
you may find out something that may change your decission.

You need to have trust and respect for a lady to have a good relationship, but give yourself and her plenty of time to ensure that it will be a lasting one.

I concur with your advice especially about tours, but I haven't yet been to Panama.  Any info about the city and specially the latinas there would be very helpful - give us your take on Panama.... Thanks in advance

Ricaro, I made my contact from Panama, via TLC, in one of
their recent issues. I first corresponded by e-mail, I
tried sendind letters(they didn't get to her)by US mail and
then I called her on the phone. I visited recently and plan
a return visit. TlC has a tour to Panama next August.

My take on Panama is that it is a very pretty country. It was some what Americanized due to the canal. The people
there are friendly anfd the US dollar is their currency.
Most places are save to walk around a lone, but there are
places to stay away from, as in any large city. It deffinately helps to have a guide who knows the area.

There are many ladies in Panama, who believe in traditional
values. For some reason Panama isn't pushed such as Cali, Columbia. I had a lot of fun with my special and very
beautiful lady friend. She took me to many places and the
country is beautiful as my new friend. As far as things to do, there is the canal of coarse, many beaches, jungles and
mountains. Lonely Planet has good books on any country in
either central or south america.

Thanks for the reply, i too have been doing some reading on the country, and it seems like a great vacation destination with so much to see.  I would like to know more about the women, do they seem to have as much of an interest in getting out as they do in colombia - eg.  are the economic conditions and lack of opportunities  primary motivating factors.  Maybe not so, since the agency scene seems non-existent.  Congratulation on finding a lady, and i hope it goes well for you there.  I would like to visit panama maybe in jan 2004; panama city is definitely on my list of places to visit.  Take care, Ricardo
