Most of us on the board have loved and lost. And of course in hind sight we all made big mistakes. So my questions are (1) what would you do differently? I know you mentioned some things-like wait before you proposed. I also suspect you would have been intimate before any marriage proposal.and(2)don't you think she probably has the same attitude towards all men or just you? Thanks! I also was wondering about her interest in other gringos. Pete seems to think she will soon be dating other gringos, but what would be her point? Her chances of finding another one who will put up with her are slim, past maybe a couple of dates. She probably will NEVER find another that would marry her with that attitude of indifference, especially since she is probably still has a few "immigrant" needs at times. I'm betting even the affair, or phone fantasy or whatever it is she is having doesn't fly very far. Not to mention she currently lives in one of the most expensive places on earth to live and try to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. I think she has the ability to date other gringos if she wants.Guys are hitting on her all the time. And if she found someone she could care about all the issues we had,or most of them could be gone.I I think she could have been a great wife for me if she only loved me.Thats the whole issue I think. Understood, but I guess I'm wondering how she expects to find someone as kind and patient as you. Im sure she can attract some men, but finding and keeping a good one, I don't know. If all is right with them he won't need much patience.Patience was really my downfall.It can help with alot of things but if there is no love it just postpones the inevitable. Good questions,most on my list already to cover,and we are headed towards our expereience in counsoling where some of what you mention comes up.When I'm done I will answer any question I didn't already cover. I got tired of it myself today,the story is so long,so I'll take a break and hit it tommorow.
