My wife has been working the early shift at Dolex lately.Today she came home about 3.15 and said she had an interview for a job.I drew her a maop of how to get there.She came home about 6.30 a frown on her face.I said how did it go?She said Bad.I say then why did it take so long?
She starts telling me about this test she had to take that was very long and got into all kinds of personal imformation about her behavior.She finally said hasta la vista,I'm out of here.So what was it??? Scientology.Some lady told her they had job openings.She thought she was applying for a job,while they were tryng to recruit her in to  the worst cult going.Was this just a mistake or an intentional deception to try and get people to show up??
So mark one more up to her education in the US.A couple of years ago she was sending off these letters and money,something about a job.It was one off these phoney work from home stuffing envelopes scemes.Then they wanted more  money for lists of possible employers.You been had I told her.You should have asked me first.
Even when she left for the interview I was thinking she thinks she will be rolling in money if she can get a job that pays $11 an hour instead of $7.Might be great for spending money,but if you have to pay the bill' s you are living in an outhouse around here.Like this $11 an hour job is so important while she is throwing away alot lot more than that.Last year was a bad year.I made $105,000.She is going to be in for a shock just paying the utilities while she gets to live here rent free for a year.She just doesn't get it how expensive things are around here and how well off she is so far.And we could have done alot better if I had had the support of a loving wife instead of the grief of a wife that didn't love me.
But say la vieve,I'm out of here,no more thank you.Muy muy consado.
She will never make the money to even approach the life we already have,and she will figure it out eventually.But she does have a good option.She is a beautifull woman and there are lots of guys who will be interested.I'm sure she could get a good guy(again) if she avoids the Colombianos and other jerks around here.I told her this was her best,maybe only hope,for the good life.I also told her don't do it unless you love the guy.Don't do that to yourself.Don't do that to the guy(Again).
I'm headed where the grass is as green for me as it is for her here.Cali.Where I found her.She was only ordinary there,not a hot item like here.I can do better.And I will be much more carefull and much less trusting,sadly.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that you had to go through something this disheartening, and difficult!!!  

But reading your posts... you have so much hope to look forward to.  Why???  You seem to be a "nice" guy, and truly wants the best for that special someone, and will work your tail off for her.  

Treating a lady with respect is hard to find these days,(I know!!!)...  however very admirable. Good to hear your positive even in these tough times, and my hats off and mountain of respect for all those (men and woman) that are truly diamonds, though some people can't see it right in front of their eyes!!!!

isnt she soon to be ex wife? yep, soon as she gets a job, she will move in with some girlfriends, or new boyfriend, have the new car you bought her..... and life is GOOD!!!!!
sorry, but i would be thinking of ways to get her out. the last person i would want to help is some women who used me to get to the USA and rouin my life and credit report. i guess your more easy going than i am, i would be PISSED!!!!

Pissed? Been there.Still go there sometimes.Like when I get the cell phone bill and her usage goes from 850 peak miniutes to 2163 peak miniutes,including over 500 to one number in a town I don't know she knows anybody in.Plus how many incoming came from there?They charge  us but don't say the source.I increased our peak time miniutes up to 1300.Would have been enough last month,with about $100 for 2 phones,mine and hers.This month her share of the bill is
$413.25.  32 cents a miniute if you go over you max.Shades of her and her mom overdawing her checking account 50 times and I kicked in $1000 in overdraft fees,not counting the money they took out,to save her from getting it closed and on a black list where you wind up not being able to get a checking account.These are the folks who pay a fee to get their checks cashed at a check cashing place.Her money she is carefull with,if its mine it gets pissed away,no thought at all.
Arrrgg! I don't need this.Just got to get things wraped up and the hell out of here.
The car I gave her is not new.Its in good shape but lots of miles.Not worth much.The house won't do me any good anyway so I will give it to her and she can ride it out untill they foreclose.Thats too good for her really,it shields her From REALITY which is coming fast.She will have trouble just paying the utilities.She has no f--king idea about money and the US,she has never had to pay for anything her fun money.
But - - I don't want to let anger take over again.Its no fun and just makes things worse.

I was a little angry when I posted above.I just got the cell phone bill.Plus I guess my suspicions are up since everything got so much worse the last 3 months.
She had no idea she had run the phone bill up that much.The out of town calls were to her company.Why didn't you use their phone I said? But what the hell.
Not only do I love this girl but I like her.Since we have come to an understanding about things we have gotten along good,she has been nice to me.I would just like to keep that good will untill I'm gone.Its no fun to fight or be angry with each other.We have done enough of that.
But I do need to get out of here.I might have it wrapped up here in about 6 weeks.There are some important things I need to do first.But it looks like the wait untill January is not neccesary.
Cali here I come,again.I should be there well before Christmas.Its getting cold here.I walked out to pick up my newspaper yesterday morning and brrr.Time for a warmer climate.And a warmer companion.

Hello and thank you for the posting.

But your posting was very difficult to read and understand.  All the sentences ran together, there was no puncuation, no spaces between sentences, no structure at all.  I am not a critic, and I am not here to say that your posting was not well received.  But please write your postings according to the rules of grammar that we all learned way back in grammar school.  We are here to help, we want to understand, so please make our existance here easy and not difficult.

I know that the Internet has changed our way of life, the way we communicate, even our literature.  But the basics are still what we all cling to and depend upon.  If you depart from what we all know and understand, then you are going to come across at this end as garbled up jumbled up gobeldygook.  I and probably others are not going to be able to help you because nobody is going to be able to understand you.

I accept everything else you have to say in this post as true other than the crying when somebody fights back.  I think I am willing to take as good as I give.  I am only making a big fuss about Aaron and bigb because I want to see them banned.  Aaron crossed a line in his attacks on me when my wife was sick several months back and took things way past two guys disagreeing on a message board so I admit to being very confrontional with him.  bigb just offends me with his lack of class.  And it is a shame because it doesn't have to be that way as he seems to really have a lot of good inside information on Brazil but he spoils it all by being so offensive and inconsiderate.

I think I probably shouldn't have stepped in between Calipro and you.  He does fine taking care of himself and you two have a long-standing feud that I shouldn't have gotten in the middle of.  I apologize for offending you as it really wasn't my place to say anything offensive to you.

I hope you have better luck that I did. I'm still waiting after several weeks for a response from the Chgo consulate on how to apply for and receive a Col. NIT (tax ID number). I finally gave up and sent a few bucks to a lawyer friend in Bogota to run the errands for me. You'd think they'd be jumping all over my inquiry - I am asking about investment, if I invest and make some cheddar they will get some tax revenue, etc. Hard to understand...but like Traveler said...indicative of a larger 'malaise' in the country (to use a Jimmy Carter term from way back when).

When I got mine a couple of years ago you had to be able to prove a monthly income of $1500 US. They don't want you juggling firebrands at semaforos to get by. The visa is a "Temporal TS" and covers a variety of circumstances including retirement. You have to renew it annually in Bogota for five years then it becomes permanent. However if you get a marriage visa to marry a colombiana that visa  becomes permanent after only three years.

PS  My mother died during child birth, it was tragic.  Please don't make jokes about that.  My younger brother survived, but our mother passed on.  I was nine years old back then in 1957.
