Has anybody been to this agency? Did you write to the ladies before you went. Is that really necessary?

Yeah I have used LAI and ODEE on my two trips to Bogota.

Both are good. Big difference in the two is the amount of ladies in each agency(Odee has about 300 and LAI has about three times that amount).  Surprisingly however, the women don't register in both agencies. Money factor I guess.

Other big difference, is basically with Odee, the agency presents your profile to the woman to see if she is interested before you write to her.  LAI, you can write to who you want, but LAI does screen your emails to the ladies.  Odee doesn't as after woman states she wants to recieve a letter from you, you receive all the contact information on them.   Thus both are good and offer you a good selection of women. I can't say who has the best since that depends on what you are looking for in a woman.

Thus to get back to your question, it IMHO helps to write one letter or two before arriving.  I did a little of both when I went on my first trip, (some I wrote and some I didn't)and basically I hit it off and still chat with the former and not the latter.  The really good thing about letters if You do them properly is you can "screen out" or "screen in" some ladies if you are lucky. There is nothing worse in my opinion than to wait several hours to have an appointment and only find out in the first 30 minutes that she doesn't want to have children or doesn't want to live in your part of the country etc.  Granted you still have to have that so called "Physical chemistry" and the face to face is still the crucial test so to speak.
But there is no harm in writing a few ladies and finding out some basic information before going if you can.  It's not necessary, but I like it and I recommend it. You can have enormous success without writing a letter.  The big thing is to pay attention to the profiles and interest of the ladies and be realistic about maturity levels and age in the women.  

Bogota has lots of very nice women in their 30's and 40's.  It also has quite a few in their late 20's.

IMHO, Nelson @ LAI runs the best agency in Colombia... Of course I'm a biased since I met my wife there...

Again, IMO it's not necessary to spend time writing to ladies until AFTER you have met several and are in the process of continuing an ongoing relationship...

If I remember correctly, you've been on the fence for a while... Just get on a plane, go to Bogota or where-ever and test the waters... If nothing else, you'll have a vacation that you will never forget...
