Title: an open letter to an Aaron wannabe Post by: jim c on September 09, 2003, 04:00:00 AM I just spent several days trying to relate my impressions of Cartagena and stopped because I was tired of childish corrections. My first rememberance of you beenthere is when you ran and tattle tailed on Cali Pro which created a bruha. At that time I thought you were just a weasel. Now after your last three insulting posts I just think you are an idiot. I don't care if you have really been to Colombia 27 times. You still have not contributed to the information here.
You personify the problem and that is neurotics without manners or social graces who only want to make themselves appear knowledgeable. Attacking my age, my knowledge of women, my judgement and intelligence in general is simply childish. No wonder you have been to Colombia 27 times. I said in my post selling wolf ticketss wouldn't get it. B.T. your feeble attacks only illustrate your personality and shortcommings. A MAN when chided for not contributing and only attacking, would begin to contribute and prove me wrong, but you instead insult me and prove what I had to say about you was correct. I noticed that Cancunhound looked at your record in the archives and found the same conclusion, its there for all to read, you poor slob. Why dont you try an agency in chechnya. .jim c Title: Speak of the devil - He's back Post by: lswote on September 10, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to an open letter to an Aaron wannabe, posted by jim c on Sep 9, 2003
Well he refrained from posting longer than his usual break, but Aaron, in his new identity as "CaliAdvisor", quietly started posting again. In response to luvslife in elcolombiano's "Now she wants me to pay for vacation clothes" thread, CaliAdvisor has posted again. And in typical Aaron style his first post back is supportive and unassuming. Wait a little bit. I expect him to resume spewing disrespectful verbage shortly. Jim, Agree with the previous posts. You're travelogue and experiences in Cartagena were a pleasure to read. I hope you continue to post and share with us. Good luck finding your new home -TNC Title: Re: an open letter to an Aaron wannabe Post by: zack on September 10, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to an open letter to an Aaron wannabe, posted by jim c on Sep 9, 2003
Everyone on this board, including myself, has been attacked, at one time or another by the childish know-it-alls. It is best to just ignore them. Most of us enjoy your posts. Who cares what the children think. The adults want to hear what you have to say. Zack Title: Attacked? Jim, You're mistaken about there not being any shooping malls in Cartagena. They are located in the populated area of town (I believe it is the north). You see, Bocagrande, and the Old City is just a VERY small part of Cartagena and are the least populated areas of the city. The majority of the population live in the north, away from Bocagrande and the Old City. You will find nice malls similiar to those in Cali, Barranquilla, Bogota, with the same stores. I can't believe that your driver hasn't told you -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - That is what was posted. Does it read like an attack? In fact the next post "been there" offered to make some calls to get specific locations of the malls. I realize there have been trolls here, but now the "troll fighters" are way too trigger happy. Also complaining that been there "tattled" is juvenile. Some of the women involved were upset, apparently some agency owners were upset as well. Not caring about how these girls feel about having pics posted on the net is just a lack of class. Grown men whining that they can't check out the "hotties" makes them look just like the stereotype of MOB customers. Anyone that gets that worked up over these photos needs to get out of the house more often. Patrick stated that posting the pics showed a lack of class and respect, so stop harping on the "tattle tail". It was a bush move, get over it. BTW not replying directly to you Zack but at this thread in general. Title: Re: Attacked? Dear Ralph No one ever accused Hasbeen of attacking me in his first post. I felt it was corrective without being informative and said so. You are aware that some people have a need to hear themselves and comment without having any knowledge on the subject. These people are often called "know it alls". I requested that he fill us in with what HE actually knew and he became insulting immediately. Title: Shut up about those pictures! Or I'll post them all again plus 500 more you guys haven't seen yet!! Beenthere is a "tattle tail". He wanted to cause a big stink and he did for a little while. He definately could have handled himself in a more MANLY maner. I know he feels these women are really close friends of his. But the fact is they really are friends and lovers of mine. There really shouldn't be any doubt about this as they proply told me who he was! If he would have just told me he was going to call the women up I would have pulled the photos because it wasn't my intention to have their feelings hurt. Anyway I have since been forgive by the women involved and I hope you can find it in your heart (Ralph) to forgive me as well. To tell you the truth the whole thing was a big learning experiance for me. I never had a clue as to what was rolling around in a lot of your guys heads until I posted those pictures. Who ever thought some of you would think the women were prostitues. It paints a very bad picture of some of you guys having a very difficult time getting laid. Hell, it appears you can't even post pictures of a wedding without some nut thinking the bride doesn't look happy!!! Have a nice day:-) Calipro Title: Re: an open letter to an Aaron wannabe Post by: Hamlet on September 09, 2003, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to an open letter to an Aaron wannabe, posted by jim c on Sep 9, 2003

Really enjoyed your post on Cartagena. It's posts like these that make reading this board worthwhile. So much for visiting KW during fanasty fest. How about Carnaval? I will be traveling to Villavicenio, Good luck and best wishes. Jim, Most of us,all but one I think, find your posts on Cartegena very valuable. So if there is any more imformation or insight you can give us please don't let that one guy stop you. We have lots of posts from guys on short trips, visting agencies, and these are valuable, mostly as motivation to the newbys. But those of us who have been around know all about that. But subjects like living or buying property in Colombia are usefull to the vererans, particularly those of us that are thinking along the lines you are but are a little behind you in actually doing it. Thanks again for the reports. Dear beenthere, The fish aren't biting today, I am a little lonely and I have too much time on my hands, so I thought I would comment on your actions highlighted by your recent posts concerning jimc’s Cartegena trip. I have given you the benefit of the doubt in the past when you have been a bit unfriendly or offensive. I even thought there might have been some justification to your informing your female friends when Calipro posted their pictures a while back as I didn't agree with that either, but I have to say that lately you are turning into a real dick. Disagreements are inevitable on this forum but being disagreeable doesn't have to be. jimc didn’t deserve the level of criticism and nastiness you threw at him in his thread "Cartegena day 2". Perhaps you have a little history with him that causes you to be a bit caustic in your responses to him but you just went too far when you insulted him to the point of telling him the process of walking to the front desk of a hotel to ask where the malls are. beenthere, if you really think so poorly of jimc, why don’t you be a little more explicit about your gripe with him rather than be so offhandedly rude. I have to agree with jimc’s label for you in this thread, "Aaron wanabee". Your inconsiderateness is disgusting. Jim, Sounds like Cartegena is your next home.I wasn't sure from your last post if you were ready to move there or not. Nothing like a real estate closing and a big check in your hand to put a smile on your face and give you lots of options. Pete |
