Hi Patrick, Sorry for this question on the board but you did say once to post questions here, rather than email them. Can you or someone else help me regarding not being recognized any longer as a member? I am now unable to edit nor retrieve member's email addresses, but obviously can still post. I lost my cookie probably do to a spyware program and the cookie that was once on my computer got eaten. Anyway to get another one? (It's not because I have my setting on the Block All Cookies mode.) Gracias. Title: Re: Re: Cookie-Patrick, I have a question then. Pablo, If you still have to type your password every time you post, then your browser is not allowing the cookie to be set. It's been a while since I worked on the profiles code or the edit messages function, but they might reply on the cookie to verify that you're a memeber and not have the password authentication fall back in the case where the cookie is not found. Check your cookie settings. Something's preventing it from being set. Title: Shields are completely down Captain! I completely disabled my cookie shield Cap'n and it still would not let me access a member's email address or allow me to edit any personal posts. I also have to type in my password each time I post. We know that my browser isn't allowing your cookie to be set but do you know where there is a new source for these dilethium crystal cookies or another solution? My guess is you actually do have a cookie for planet-love but it is corrupted somehow. The way you could find out is to export your cookies and see if you have a planet-love cookie. The way to do this is in Internet Explorer select "File-Import and Export...". Then when the Import/Export Wizard comes up work your way to where you select "Export Cookies". Then save the file to somewhere where you can edit it. Then edit it and search for "planet-love". If you find an entry, delete it. Then use the Import/Export Wizard to import the edited cookie file. Now when you do something that requires your planet-love password and prompts you for it, you should create a new cookie at that time that isn't corrupt. I can't guarantee it will work but it is worth a try. Shields are down so what do you have to loose? |
