Title: funny and good points Post by: mudd on May 23, 2003, 04:00:00 AM Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan... what we
need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message. Robin Williams' plan.. (Hard to argue with this logic!) I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan or 1. The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their 2. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with 3. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and 4. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 day 5. No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they 6. The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. 7. Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for 8. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will 9. Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the 9b. Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers. 10. All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can Now, ain't that a winner of a plan. Its a small world now.If we just retreat from world events world events will come to haunt us. Oil self sufficiency will never come to the US.We use too much and have too little. We should be thankfull there is an abundance in the world. But I do agree the Caribou might have to adjust to .ooo1% of thier grazing area being used for something else. $10 oil would be good for the US but would be a disaster for Russia and Saudi Arabia, which would not survive it in current political form.We will probably agree to keep it at $25 plus for the sake of those countries. The US will be energy self sufficient when we develop the energy form of the future, probably fussion. And Nuclear, which is available now, could be used alot more.Correct me if I am wrong but I believe we have zero deaths from nuclear power. You can't beat that safety record.Somebody has got to have fallen off a roof and died while installing a solar collector or a windmill. As far as limiting immigrants,we should now close the doors now that we are here?Got ours, screw you? This country is still about 50% open space and 40% agriculture.Bursting at the seams we are not.And our immigrants have contributed alot.Taking the best and the brightest from other countries has worked well for us.But terrorists have to be seperated out in our mind from other immigrants. The other immigrants had nothing to do with 9/11 and should not be punished for something they didn't do. So not a bad rant for a commedian, but not the solution. But if he was serious he is way ahead of the rest of the Hollywood crowd. They are about as smart as the Arab street, ala Bagdad Bob. Oh yeah I agree with you completely. Actually my statement is directed more at his attitude than anything else. I doubt Robin Williams means any of this literaly. I think it is more making fun of the narrow minded hollywood crowd who tries to blame America for everything bad that happens to her. We even have elected people in Washington who are incapable of calling a spade a spade, but are always willing to place any and all blame on America. I just really enjoy seeing someone have the balls to put it blunt. A friend of mine has a t-shirt that says "More people have died in Ted Kennedy's car than in all the nuclear power plant accidents in North America" |
