A friend of mine is trying to talk me into going to Cali with him soon. We have looked over the ACG website and are wondering if this place is all its cracked up to be.  

Would any of you vets take the tour for $850?  Or the seven day membership at $70 a day.  It sort of gives the impression that "anything goes" if you know what I mean.  Is this just a wild party place, a good place to find a nice girl, or both?  

Can you make deals with this guy or is he totally by the book?   Will they help you out alot with intros?

Yalg, I am recently and happily married to a calena but to get there I've used most of the agencies in Cali numerous times. It has been said here many times but I'll repeat that the best strategy if you have more than a week is to stay at or visit several agencies when you come to Cali. There's nothing wrong with packing your bag and heading off to another agency after two or three days. Or stay at a hotel. Personally I found that although there may be scads of girls in the books, if you really narrow down the invites to girls that are your first and top choices and fall within your age/ w/wo children priorities the list ends up pretty short at any single agency and there's no point in staying on somewhere and dating the second string when you could be meeting the few who will be your top choices at another agency. I speak as someone who overall spent way to much time with girls who were not my top choice for marriage.

Have you ever been to Bogota?  I have been to Bogota and Cali.  If so, what was your impression of bogota ladies and why did you continue returning to Cali as opposed to bogota?  Just curious....

I stayed there for a week in July. I had no complaints.
The secretaries were very helpful and knowledgeable, and
Ricardo was dependable and fun. I thought the maid there
was particularly kind. I left her the biggest tip of my
stay.

DS2 is correct about staying in another hotel, if you are
not pre-paid with Ricardo. That's really the only way to test-drive,
since most girls will not want to spend "up-stairs" time at an agency.

I was in Cali in April and June of 2002 and I stayed at Ricardo's place both times.  I was paying about $50 a night to stay in his large room.  And it's huge with a jacuzzi tub.

The $50 a night included meeting the girls and they have a lot of beautiful girls there.  Ricardo also owns a modelling agency and so there may be some spillover of girls from one to the other.  But I saw many beautiful women there in interviews.

You can save money by staying in a hotel, however, it may have saved my life that I stayed in Ricardo's place.  My wife's ex-boyfriend came looking for me one night with a gun, but he was scared away because the police keep a 24-hour guard across the street at the home of the Cali Catholic bishop.

I am not a vet but I was there bt 4 months ago for 2 weeks and no it is not worth it. Simply get a hotel room nearby and pop in for the girls from the album . Pay no more than $10 per "show" (a girl who shows up) and no more than 100 for a week worth of introductions. LatinBest and LatinEncounters are just around the corner from ACG and  you can always move on if ACG becomes not so cooperative.

No wild parties there. Once in a while there are "parties" whereby bt 40 girls show up and 5-6 guys. Then they mingle sporadically. Otherwise it is 1-1 communication in the lobby with the girl. Girls are not allowed in your room (if you lodge there). It is a good place to find a nice girl yes.

You will deal mostly with a secretary Iveth. She speaks english and quite cooperative but always seem to be in some disarray. Always doing something but never get much done. I guess it is the way of biz over there. You select girls from the albums, she will call them up and invite over.

The owner of the ACG Ricardo Pedroza is a funky guy and is not trustworthy based on my personal experience. So dont pay anything upfront or you will get very little if anything in service.
