Title: My fiance is very nervous ... Post by: michaeljay on March 09, 2003, 05:00:00 AM Yesenia recently received her Packet 3 for our K-1 visa and only
her name was on it, and NOT the names of her 2 boys (3 & 5 yrs). Also, there was only 2 copies of the DS 156 form and it said that each one needed to be filled out in duplicate and each accompanying member of family regardless of age needs to fill one of these out as well. It seems like they are not expecting her boys, yet I clearly named them on the I-129 petition. Has anyone received a K-1 recently with children involved (K-2)? Were they named anywhere in Packet 3? Where there enough forms for the children? Also, she plans to got to Bogota on March 17 for her medical Also, does anybody know the name of the hotel closest to the US Thank you for all your ideas and experiences ... PS - The wedding is April 19 ... Title: Re: My fiance is very nervous ... Congrats Mike! I have followed your story as a "lurker." Unfortunately, I am not able to help with your durrent situation/question as I am a "newbie." I hope you will continue to post your experiences with your new bride. I am very much interested in her adjustment to a "cold climate" and to the USA in general. Also in your adjustment to a new wife and family. You are indeed a very courageous fellow! Perhaps if and when I find a wife from Colombia, we can get together since we live in the same state. Also, perhaps she can be an "ambassador" for those of us who are still on the fence! Good luck to you!!!! Peace! Title: Re: Re: My fiance is very nervous ... Thanks for the reply. Since posting the message I got a response to an email I sent to the embassy and they said that the children's names not being on the paperwork is no big deal. They fall under the umbrella of her visa, and the paperwork can easily be completed at the Embassy when arriving for the appointment. Of course they need a passport and birth certificate as well as the medical exams. The US Embassy in Colombia has exellent customer service in english via email for any of you guys going through the K1/K2 process. The address is: IVBogota@state.gov Stay in touch Intrepid ...
