The FARC and other rebels are operating with impunity from inside venezuela. They are being trained and equipped by Chavez. Title: Re: not surprised Post by: Celt on February 25, 2003, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to not surprised, posted by Cold Warrior on Feb 25, 2003
Exactly. That is part of Chavez's mini-Castro revolution. He wants to block his border so that the insertions and insurrection traffic only goes one way--into Colombia. This is the untold story of the U.S.'s sudden interest in Colombia. There is no way the U.S. will allow Chavez to destabilize the entire region. And this time it will not be done indirectly, i.e the Contras. Chavez will find the foot prints of U.S. hit teams in his country, and a diplo- matic campaign to isolate him in the hemisphere. |
