Title: Communication Shows Interest
Post by: John O on March 02, 2003, 05:00:00 AM
A wise Caleņa once listed some of the signs of a lady's true interest, including affection (holding hands, caresses, etc.) and regular communication (i.e., she'll do whatever it takes to stay in touch w/you).

Last year, I had what seemed like a promising relationship go south on me because of lack of communication on the lady's part. I met 3 ladies in Ctga. that I'd been talking with by phone for several weeks. They all had great personalities, but I chose the sexiest one. She claimed she was ready for marriage & that I was the one for her. But once I returned to the U.S., I had trouble reaching her by phone. She missed most of our phone dates, and Emailed me only about once a week. Busy w/her classes, she said. When I complained, she turned it on me & protested that I was not showing enough interest in her. Well, that relationship didn't last long.

I recently noted a similar pattern w/my Caleņa girlfriend. She's generally available by phone, but goes for a week or 2 sometimes w/o Emailing. When I expressed my desire for 50/50 communication, she admitted to being "disorganized" & getting "off track" (despistada) easily, & promised to write more. She also said she thinks about me a lot, & talks about me to her girlfriends constantly. I'm  pleased with this response, but time will tell.

Sometimes it's difficult to distinguish a character defect such as being disorganized & forgetful (as I can be) with lack of interest. But either way, you have to decide what you need/want/will accept in a relationship.

I left Cali on Jan 12, 2003. I email and talk to my novia every day. If I don't do this I fear the relationship will fall apart. She emails me most every day. All the emails and phone calls are hard work. I am getting burned out doing this. Amor de lejos, Amor de pedejos. Love a far Love of fools. I am glad I am going to Cali next week to pick her up as I don't have much more energy to keep this going on the phone and email every day.

YES I AGREE... I got back from honduras  on wednesday expecting a  nice email from my girl telling  me how we had a good time....or how she hated to see me leave. But no... all she sent was two lines of nothing and a picture of her.MAYBE i scared her talking about the adjustment of life in the USA because i didn;t hold back ....that this would be one of the most difficult things in her life.

it is very true, if she is realy interested in you, she will find a way to get an e mail to you. i dont think i have ever gone more than two days without a phone call or e mail from my fiancee, unless i went on a fishing trip where my cell phone wouldnt work. sometimes she gets busy with work and school, and she will miss a day, but never more than three days without speaking.
