Title: Getting to Cartagena Post by: Wanderer on March 20, 2002, 05:00:00 AM Hello everyone,
I have a question for the everyone, what is the best way to get to Cartagena? Are there direct flights from the USA? Any suggestions or experiences will be appreciated. 1)Avianca has a direct flight, Miami to Cartagena. 2)American Airlines has a flight into Barranquilla. You can take the 1hour & 40min ride to Cartagena by; bus for US$10, or cab for US$40-50. The cost of the direct flight to Cartagena is more expensive than flying into BAQ, staying in a hotel overnight, and then taking a cab the next day...but it is the most direct and least worrisome option. -Tai Title: American Airlines Pulling Out Of BAQ Post by: Jebster on March 21, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Getting to Cartagena, posted by Tai on Mar 20, 2002
AA is not servicing Barranquilla after 6 April. The rumor is that they hope to commence service between Medellin and Miami in the fall. Copa also has flights to Cartagena but must go through Panama City. Avianca is the only airline offering direct, non-stop, daily flight from Miami. Look for fares to increase now that AA will no longer offer the BAQ service. |
