Title: on calling cards Post by: john_paul32177 on December 31, 2002, 05:00:00 AM recently it was posted that some of the calling cards werent as good as it was promised. at that time i said that i believed that many of the companies probably catered to a lot of hispanic customers and counted on that they either wouldnt realize where being taken for a ride or that they wouldnt complain. well, i believe i sort of proved that theory of mine with nobelcom.com. they had a royal calling card that promised 202 minutes calls to medellin. i bought 2 and they started at 168 minutes each(which was the promised minutes from another card they offered called "la colombiana"). after needing to call customer service 4 different times on so many days. after been put on hold, not been able to contact customer service, or been promised that the matter was going to be dealt with diligently i finally got 30 minutes time back out of 72 they already had overcharged me. not to mention that i started to monitor my calls and it always charged me more minutes than the ones i actually used. after letting them know that if this matter wasnt solved to my satisfaction i would file a complaint against them for false advertisement (not to mention that i was taking my business somewhere else and thats to the tune of at least 80 dollars a month) magically i checked on their site and the card has been reduced to the 168 minutes range. while searching for a better deal i found 2prepaidcard.com. which i reccomend for all of u searching for a card. until now it has been the best i had had and ive been through 4 diferent calling cards companies.
