Title: 10 days in Cali Post by: TexasRob on December 11, 2001, 05:00:00 AM Well I finally made my first trip to Cali. I stayed at All Colombian Girls. I went there with the intention of learning Cali and the people and having a great vacation. It was the best time of my life. You have the opportunity to meet many women or few, the choice is yours. I chose to meet a few. I am going back in a couple of months and I will take a more serious approach then. I have read so many conflicting views here on the board that I wanted to be extra cautious of the agency scene. All Colombian Girls is a very relaxed place. Any of you young guys going need to check out the secretary there. Her name is Paola and she is great. A beautiful girl with a great sense of humor. In the agency girls are walking in and out all of the time.
First of all, I am convinced that the majority of the girls are real girls with real dreams. Of course players exist but they are the minority. I have never met such sweet nice girls. Also if you have a problem with public affection, get over it before you go. I went to the zoo with a girl and I was concerned that she was not going to let me up for air. Another girl (27) showed up with her mother for both times we went out. I saw two internet friends that I have chatted with for over a year but never met personally. One of them danced me into the ground one night, then we played pool until very late. I lost every game and I am a decent pool player. The next morning I played on her volleyball team. I don't know when she sleeps. A great girl but a little too rough around the edges for me. I have completely changed my mind about the age thing. I went determined to only meet girls 35 and over. Of course there are exceptions but the standard 25 year old is a very mature woman who knows what she wants in life. I would not go determined to meet someone many years younger but I also would not rule it out either. Go with all options open. I found types of gringos there. 1) Men who are there to meet the kind of woman they dream of. 2) Desperate men with some issues, who could not buy a date here in the USA. 3) Players, who are trying to break a record for getting some strange. I met a girl there that I will never forget. We hiked to the top of "Three Crosses". This was a day filled with magic for me. We also went on a very long horse back ride in the country. The last few miles was riding up the center of a very cold river. This was another magical day. Her eyes are magic. Her smile is magic. She will be a great and true friend in my heart forever. If you are sitting on the fence... get off and go. It is an experience you will not forget. I made some new friends and priceless memories. If you want to come home engaged after knowing someone 2 days that is possible, I saw that happen. If you want to know a quality woman to build a relationship with that is also there. The trip is filled with smiles until you you hit US Customs in Miami. I had a female agent and she specifically asked if I was in Cali to meet a woman. I replied yes and she was very sarcastic. But with her looks and build she has nothing to be happy about, so I thought nothing of it. Hi Rob. I'm glad to hear that you had a nice time in Cali. I visited All Colombian Girls two days before I returned to the States. Ricardo was MAD COOL. His secretary was very nice. This particular agency is not too far from the hotel I stayed at (ApartaHotel del Rio). As for the riff-raff with U.S. Customs in Miami; unfortunately, the behavior of some of those inspectors is usually sarcastic (see my previous posts regarding them). Anyway, the female inspector who questioned you in Miami; was she a heavy set black woman, with short brown hair and a BIG JURASSIC PARK BEHIND? We may have met the same inspector Later. Yeah he is one laid back dude for sure. I met a guy from Europe who was staying at that hotel. I like the area a lot. Some great food within 1 or 2 blocks walking. No she wasn't black. I think if she would shave she might find her a guy and chill out a little. I am ready to go back. Today I received my vacation form to complete for next year. I get five weeks and I can take two at a time. I think I will take two weeks for my next trip and spend half in Cali and half on the coast. I met several guys there who loved Cali but preferred the girls on the coast more. They suggested that I give it a shot and see how it goes. I think I will check it out. Hey Rob. I had to laugh at the "shave" thing! I've been to Cali four times. I DIG IT!!!!! I've also spend time in Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Santa Marta, as well. I like Cartagena for the ladies and its history. I like Santa Marta for its beaches. As for Barranquilla, well... Let's just say that I prefer the ladies in Cali. If all goes well, I would like to spend three weeks in Cali next summer. Later. Title: You heard the man.... Get your narra azz of the fence & go...lol! Loved that part about the female customs agent. She actually had the cajones (literally speaking...heheh) to ask you about meeting ladies? Good Gawd almighty!!! Must be more guys than we thought heading down south! You should have showed her pictures...lmao. Man, I would have paid to see the expression on her mug.... Drinking that local poison..Ewwww! I remember the first time, I had to drink that stuff with Stivalis's father, uncles & male cousins. They were getting tore up! I would take one shot & ditch one shot. I wasn't gonna let them get yours truly drunk. Didn't like the taste, but didn't want to diss them either....lol Hoda Title: Ahhh...drinking could be a problem for me bro... Hoda, You see, being that I don't drink or smoke, I think that if my future wife's father or mother wanted me to take a sip, I would have to warn her that I have never attempted to drank anything in my life; with the exception of wine during thanksgiving and christmas(and then, very litte of that!). Peace... Hilton Title: LOL.... Post by: Hoda on December 12, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Ahhh...drinking could be a problem for m..., posted by hilton on Dec 12, 2001
I hear ya Hilton, Definitely, let the ladies know about your vices, or the lack of them...lol! It was rare for me, to run into ladies that smoke. When you start meeting them, whether through the agency or freelance. Let them know, you don't like smelling like a pack of kools...heheh! You'll find MANY ladies who don't smoke or drink. Especially those, that are a bit more religious and/or where there is a lack of smokers & drinkers within the family. No one in Stivalis's family smokes. A few, never touch liquor! You won't be considered anti-social, once folks realize that you are real & true about your beliefs.... You better dance though....lmao Title: Re: 10 days in Cali Post by: El Diablo on December 12, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to 10 days in Cali, posted by TexasRob on Dec 11, 2001
"Of course players exist but they are the minority. I have never met such sweet nice girls. Also if you have a problem with public affection, get over it before you go. I went to the zoo with a girl and I was concerned that she was not going to let me up for air." Hi Rob, I love Cali and her women as much as anyone, believe me but I don't attach too much significance to women acting sweet and nice over a short time frame like a couple of dates. Women or men for that matter are most likely on their absolute best behavior in situations like this. It can be pretty overwhelming to be the object of such beautiful women's affection and I truly believe that this clouds our perception of what is real and what isn't. You throw in language and cultural differences and the possibility for some major miscues is even more likely. Hey I'm speaking from my own experiences here. (-: IMO Cali women are just that women, not so unlike their sisters here in America. There are good ones, bad ones and everything in between. I've known Calenas who are sweet and adorable with their dates but something entirely different when they're gone. It really takes time to see a person for who they truly are. I know there are many great women in the agencies but I believe there are a LOT of little girls also. There's a difference and it's not even that subtle in my opinion. This distinction is less about age and more about character and how a person is raised. The little girls are interested in the moment and they give their affection too easily, often times to the latest and greatest gringo who has just flown in. The women on the other hand are thinking about a lifetime and less about the moment. I think a woman is more careful with her affection and love as marriage is serious and not a game. Anyway, thanks for the report......good luck hunting and see ya in Cali... Wow TexasRob Pack just asked for a trip report and you gave us a great one! Sounds to me like you're becoming a Colombia adicto. That's a good hike up the cerro de Tres Cruces. I did it last year. I'm wondering where that river is you went horseback riding in. Bet you're completely ruined for gringas now. You got that right. Ruined for life. I have one thought in mind and that is to get back to Colombia as quick as possible. I met a beautiful girl on the plane coming home. We travelled together from Cali to Dallas, then she went on to Austin to visit her cousin. She lives 4 hours from Cali and she invited me to visit her there. I don't know that I will be it is something I will consider for sure. After knowing the warmth of the girls there, I could consider no other woman. I e-mailed the girl I went with on the horse ride asking her the name of the place. I will let you know. It was a great time and everyone on the ride made me feel more than welcome.
