Post by: james2 on December 03, 2001, 05:00:00 AM
Hello, anybody stayed at this condo? They claim to be close to the nightlife of Avenida Sexta and the mall. Prices range between $55-95 pernight
Their website www.cali-bedandbreakfast.com/home/
Thanks

Doug Y. stayed there last Christmas. We visted them a couple times. The place was very nice and separated from Chipi Chapi by a small side street.Big security wall.It took us awhile to get past the guard gate.Doug said he did get a little nervious when he could hear gun shots at night(happens all over Cali). He was on the first floor.

Hey Pete,

I thought Doug stayed in one of those tall apartment buildings on either side of chipi-chapi?  If so, this looks different to me.  I think these are the two story townhomes that are back against and part way up the hill behind the mall.  There's a road that twists leading up to them.

ED,
Yes Doug stayed in a high rise right next to Chipi Chapi on the main street. If these are not them my mistake.

I haven't stayed there but I recognize the gringo owner, his wife and where the apartment is located.  I met him during one of my trips and he's a good guy.

Regarding the aptartment.  It's more or less behind the chipi-chapi mall and right up against the hillside.  The bio says Cali central but this is actually the north and just a few blocks from Avenida Sexta.  It looks like a nice place and probably a safe walk down to Avenida Sexta during the day.  At night it might be dangerous walking as those streets back against the hill can be really dark, I'd consider a taxi.

If you use the place, give us a report as I'd be curious...
