Title: Hey Happy- Its a baby houndog Post by: jim c on November 23, 2001, 05:00:00 AM without manners of course. I have never attacked you in fact I said you never entered my mind. Yes you can call me pops since your father never taught you manners. I am pushing 60 but you’re here, what’s your excuse, you can't get over in Las Vegas. As to making someone think, some puppies can't be trained to stay on the paper. Your rude comments like :
11-21 " Did you come here to find out about being a man." have caused me to agree with your above self description and I could add a little paranoid. I'm sure you knew which of the "quotes" were questions and which were statements. You never did address who you thought was "deluded". I'd like to state this for clarification, and also to illustrate a difference in thinking. You make the statement, "what’s your excuse, you can't get over in Las Vegas. " which I'm guessing is either an insinuation or a question. If it's a question, then I offer no excuse. My goal is simply not to "get over" on someone. Also, just for the record, I remember hounddog too (and wish him the best!) but those are lines from a song. Real weak for some one who likes to mention others mothers. I only quoted you and others can read your posts. I think you ought to read Patricks post and back off before some one really describes your manners and intelect. JIM C PS I have seen others removed for less insulting posts. Title: I have. I have read Patrick's posts, and I'm very pleased to see that you have too. You might want to consider how that relates to your remark, "and back off before some one really describes your manners and intelect[sic]". If you are man enough to let this go, I will try to measure up to your standard. Otherwise I'll just ignore you posts. To be sure, if you have any constructive and thoughtful feedback, it would be welcome. Anyway, you may not be receptive but here's some feedback. "relegious" from your profile is also spelled religious, I believe. I don't think this matters much for regular posts, but you might consider cleaning that one up, since it will be around for a while.

I am not into flame wars and I thank you for the spelling correction. As I read your recent posts, I find they show a less aggressive tone. Thank you for that. I feel that this guy if he is real can add a view that would be new to this list. Some of us may not want to hear it, but at least it would not be a parrot symphony. If he is a fraud, after gathering a significant amount of evidence, I would be very happy to challenge his identity. I just felt that he was jumped on viciously before the jury was in and he could be a valuable resource. I for one, have found that the upperclass Colombian women behave like the man says, at least in Cali. This is not to demean the majority of the girls in the agencies. It only means they have a different set of values. When I went to Javeriana University there wasn't a girl who would look twice at a gringo, because their familys are rich. They have visas, nice cars and like their lives. They don't want to leave their families or their country. And life is still very good for the rich. So I understood what the man was saying even though it could be construed as insulting to the other girls. His insight into single guys living with mom while they party is another insight that I have heard about. So I hope he is real and stays. jim c Title: Jim, Thanks. Jim, It sounds like we have both cooled the fire a bit. If you agree, I would like to ask Patrick to delete this thread, if he does not plan to already. Your point about waiting and giving someone a chance was well stated. I think this, in general, good advice. I think we both just have different limits. My thinking was that as soon as I saw a problem, I wanted to address it. As you may know, I have never been to Colombia, but I have traveled and lived in other countries. Certainly there are cultural or social variances, but I believe some characteristics are fairly consistent. So my thinking is that if you are comfortable and savvy about women, then you will be able to translate this experience to another culture. So some of the generalisms seem tiresome and unnecessary. To say, for example, some women are not serious certainly doesn't need to be explained to someone that is competent enough to undertake this process. Or to date at all, for that matter. Now if there is specifics mentioned, a setting, a situation, then maybe it would add some insight. I do agree(in regards to having different opinions), I would like to see this board become more multicultural and have more of a gender mix. However, I want to qualify that with someone's posts should evaluated based on the quality of what they say, not their stated demographics. |
