Title: Has anyone had any success with....
Post by: hilton on November 20, 2001, 05:00:00 AM
Group,

Has anyone had any success with latin-internet.com?

Are they a good and reputable company.  I just got an email from a friend who thought that they were o.k.

I also heard that they were in some kind of business trouble.  I'm not sure what is what, but I thought that I would ask anyone who would definately know their reputation.

Thanks,

hilton

I have used Latin-Internet and like it very much. The lady who takes care of your dates is Maritza. She's got to have one of the nicest personalities in Cali. I don't know about any business trouble. I went by the place a week and a half ago when I was in Cali to visit with Maritza, Elizibeth and Hector and everything was normal.

Cali,

What did you think of the women at latin-internet.com versus the women at the other agencies that you visited?

Was the service at latin-internet excellent?

What were the owners like and how did they treat you?

What price did you have to pay in order to visit their bed & breakfast?  Or was it free?....

Thanks buddy,

hilton

Obviously there are many many girls in Cali who answer the ads placed by the dozen or more agencies there. Some girls sign on with only one while others manage to find almost all of them. No agency has "better" girls than any other. The cheapest room rate I've gotten at Latin-Internet is $45.

Cali,

Ricardo just emailed me and was telling me that he would hook me up with a monthly(very cheap) room rate if I were to stay at his bed & breakfast for 5 months to get into a spanish immersion program.

And, also, being that I do 100% of my internet software development business over the internet, I could bring my labtop and have internet connection from his place.  He would also help me to find a school or immersion program in Cali that would immerse me in spanish(5 days a week & 6 hours a day).  After that I should be about 90%-95% fluent at speaking; even though I couldn't understand all the technological jargon that doctors and lawyers would use.

He seems, from my own impression, like a pretty nice guy to talk with.

Hey Hilton
Investigate an apartment before you decide to stay at an agency. Mine is $250.00 a month including utilities and phone and is in the best neighborhood in Cali. Thats $8.00 a day and believe me food is cheap. There is a university 5 minutes away and a social structure of americans in the area that are knowledgeable. Do Your Homework  JIM C

Cool, sounds like a plan. Someone on the board mentioned Spanish classes at Javariana (sp?) University but it's on  the the other end of the city from Ricardos. There is a guy staying long term at Luz Amparo's Latin Best agency right now who is in a tutoring program he's very happy with. You could call her to get in touch with him to find out more.

How about the membership fees Vet. I went in july with Desert Dan and was told to pay $375.00. There was also one guy at Normans who left after having 8 no shows in a week at LI. JIM C

They honor my LLM membership so I haven't kept up on that info. Glad you could supply it.
