We use the cards that we purchase from a local store that caters to the hispanic community...It's called the Texas Freedom card...I don't know what it works out to, but I do know it's about a 1/3rd of what I was paying...and she likes it...good luck. Hey JunFan, next time you go to the store, they "Texas No Connect" and let me know which of the two you like better. My wife uses Colombianita, which costs $.12 a miniute from northern California to Cali.I think its cheaper to Bogota. There is no connection charge.Avoid the ones with connection charges, they will charge you even if you are not connected all the way through. Also some of the cards have very bad lines, lots of static and it can be hard to get through. We had a $.07 card,no connection fees, but the lines were very bad.Colombianita has good sound quality and its usually easy to get through. We buy them at www.phonecards-prepaid.com in $20 cards. They can E-mail you the numbers in miniutes after your initial purchase. Go to the ma & pa grocery stores and resturants in the Mexican part of town. Most of them carry several brands. Most of these brands are pretty good to Mexico, fair ro Colombia. They should have a chart (usualy posted in the window or on the wall) advertising the prices for each brand of card. Look over the charts and pick one. In addition to the price per minute, you want one that says "no connect fee" for the best deal. If you don't live in such a city, then you're SOL unless you can find one on interenet. Also try 10-16-868 service (works just like the 10-10 services). It's 18 cents a minute. |
