Hola just got back from Colombia. It is interesting to note the state of depression that everyone is in. While in Colombia the only source of information was CNN. This limited my exposure to information and personal accounts of the tradgedy. I was sort of out of the loop so the atmosphere is just a little surreal to me.
    I can say one thing though, at least in Cali, the entire population is sympathetic. Everyone that recognized me as an American went out of their way to give a Lo Sientos to me . The cab drivers, sales clerks and waitresses all expressed the sadness at the trade center tradgedy, it became an automatic statement after hearing my bad spanish. It gave me an understanding of the affection the Colombians have for us.

    The trip was not too eventful, hung with the Angelina Jolie look alike for 10 days, just could not abide her running to the john to talk to her ex in florida on her cell phone. Gave her the broom but it was fun for a while. Talked with Norm and Keith. When are these wackooos going to give Norm a break. Some freak is starting the big dog tour hassle again. The tour never happened and Norm had nothing to do with it.
    Spent two hours at Luz Amparos. She, as usual, said I know a girl who would be perfect for you and sure enough fifteen minutes later she drives up, 37, long blond hair. built like a calena, college degree, employed, speaks english, lived in Montreal, has traveled the world and has been divorced from her husband of fifteen years for four months. Had lunch, ( she paid the second time) fun, beautiful and saw each other every day until I left on tuesday. I have high hopes. JIM C

Good to hear about your trip to Cali.
While my experience in Cali is limited to one trip and I only dealt with one agency. That agency was Luz Amparo's Latin Best. I must concur with your assesment. I was there for 10 ten days. Luz arranged about 18-20 appointments for me. All of the women were on time or at most a few minutes late. Call it coincedence or fate but the first woman she introduced me to turned out to be the best match I had out of the entire group. The match turned out well enough that I am returning tomorrow to spend 10 days with her. For those interested I posted a trip report and it can be found in the archives somewhere around July 10th this year.
