Title: shoe sizes in Peru..... Post by: Evan on August 16, 2001, 04:00:00 AM This question has never been asked before to the best of my knowledge. My girls birthday is coming up soon, so I asked her what she would like. She said she would love a pair of nice Nike running shoes in a size 36. So what does that convert to in US standards ??? I checked some web sites and I think it is 5.5 - 6 ?? Does Peru have a International standard they go by ?? Like she said I would have trouble trying to find something like that here, if I could it would be a nice surprise for her.
Thanks, Evan Title: Re: shoe sizes in Peru..... Post by: cjweir on August 17, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to shoe sizes in Peru....., posted by Evan on Aug 16, 2001

Carmen my Peruvian esposita says you are right on the money, 5 1/2 to 6 is her size. By the way, have you shipped any packages to Peru, if so, what company did you use? I sent some things to Lima before, lately it`s been mostly Express Mail with letters for the K-1 process. It`s not cheap by any means,$22.50 for letters. They say it will get there in 3 days, but the tracking number they give you says it takes 3 days just to leave the US. Once the Peruvian postal system gets their hands on it, they seem to have much better time than the US. It will take about 6 days this way. I have sent packages too, about the same time. Last week I had to have some documents there quick like so I used Fed Ex, not cheap at a little over $50.00, but it got there exactly when they said it would. Best to send things way a head of when you want it there and take advantage of the cheaper rates using plain old air mail. Thanks for the info. on the shoe size !!!
