Title: ANOTHER SUCESS STORY Post by: DaveyRich1 on August 09, 2001, 04:00:00 AM FELLOW GRINGOS MY NAME IS DAVID HASKINS I AM 38 YEARS OLD AND I BEGAN MY SEARCH FOR A COLOMBIAN WIFE IN MAY OF 2000 I HAVE TRAVELED TO CALI 3 TIMES AND SPENT APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS EACH TIME MY MOST RECENT TRIP WAS JULY 24 OF THIS YEAR I AM A DAILY READER OF THIS BOARD AND THE TWO GRINGOS BOARD I MEET EL DIABLO MY FIRST TRIP IN WHICH I ALSO MEET THE FIRST GIRL I WAS SERIOUS WITH HER NAME WAS MARIA HELENA H2OH FORMER GIRLFRIEND SHE OWNS A BUSINESS IN CALI WITH HER SISTER AND SHE IS VERY SUCESSFUL SHE HAS A NICE APARTMENT CAR ETC.SHE VISITED ME IN THE US I LIVE OUTSIDE OF MEMPHIS TN HER STAY WAS 2 WEEKS IT JUST DID NOT SEEM RIGHT BUT I MADE A VERY GOOD FRIEND THE 2ND TRIP I HAD MANY APPTS. I TOLD MYSELF I WOULD NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AND CONCENTRATE ON ONE GIRL NO ONE REALLY SPECIAL ON TRIP 2 THEN TRIP THREE EL DIABLO E-MAILED A GIRLS NAME ZULEIMA MACHADO WHO HAD BOOKS AND WOULD TRANSLATE I STAYED AT THE INTERCONT. HOTEL SHE CAME TO THE HOTEL AND HAD ABOUT 250 GIRLS I MADE ABOUT 6 APPTS.BUT HIRED ZULY TO TRANSLATE FOR THE DURATION OF THE TRIP SHE WOULD ARRIVE AT 9 AM AND WOULD SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY WITH ME WE WENT TO LATIN ENCOUNTERS LATIN LOVE MATES AND OF COURSE THE MALLS AFTER ABOUT 4 DAYS AND 15 APPTS. I REALIZED THAT I HAD WHAT I HAD TAVELED TO COLOMBIA FOR WITH ME ALL DAY EVERYDAY I PROPOSED ON SATURDAY NIGHT AUGUST 4TH WE WILL MARRY ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND I HAVE MADE MANY GOOD FRIENDS IN CALI IT HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE EL DIABLO A SPECIAL THANKS TO YOU WITHOUT YOUR HELP THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED GOOD LUCK GUYS

Dear Dave, CONGRADS!!! I was in Cali from 12 of July to the 22nd and am headed back to marry my dreamgirl In colombia on 29th of Sept and with international dating it can happen that fast. I know and she knows it's right as you and your fiancee do other guys can scoff but wait till it happens to them then they will understand. They will become true believers too. No it wouldn't happen with american woman it could take two, three years to marry an american woman that's IF you make it to the alter. So big congrads on your success!!! One can get pretty close to their interpreter when you spend all day together and you can communicate in the same language. At the TLC parties, many times the interpreters are popular because they can speak English and many of them are available. Sounds like you had good chemistry with her. Good luck with the marriage. Zuli's been one of my best amigas during my long stays in Cali, she's a good woman. I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW SOMEONE COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS SO FAST BUT WE WERE AROUND EACH OTHER 15 TO 16 HOURS A DAY AND SHE WAS TRANSLATING FOR ME DURING BREAKS FROM APPOINTMENTS WE REALLY OPENED UP TO EACH OTHER I GUESS THEIR WAS NOT THAT APPOINTMENT MENTALITY I HAD JUST PAID A 1 YEAR MEMBERSHIP TO LATIN ENCOUNTERS THAT DAY AND NEVER GOT 1 APPOINTMENT I CERTAINLY DID NOT GO THINKING THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND IF I WAS NOT CERTAIN IT WAS RIGHT I WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE IT Title: Did you get a refund... Hey Dave, Since you never used the membership and Margareth won't refund the money, perhaps you can give your membership to someone else. I suggest you write Margareth, explain the situation, tell her that you post frequently on Planet Love, and see if she'll allow you to transfer your membership to a friend. No I'm not looking for a freebee as I have a girlfriend but maybe one of the guys traveling down this month could use it. Anyway it's worth a shot!! El Diablo |
