Title: Accented letters Post by: rickmoe on July 23, 2001, 04:00:00 AM Can someone please repeat how to write the accented letters using my keyboard. There was an easy method, but I can't remember.
Thanks Rick G Title: Re: Accented letters Post by: Georgina on July 23, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Accented letters, posted by rickmoe on Jul 23, 2001
ALT + 160 = á ALT + 161 = í ALT + 162 = ó ALT + 163 = ú ALT + 164 = ñ ALT + 165 = Ñ ALT + 130 = é Use the numbers right of your keyboard. Title: Re: Re: Accented letters Post by: rickmoe on July 23, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Accented letters, posted by Georgina on Jul 23, 2001

Georgina's method is better unless you're going to do a lot of typing, or are anal about punctuation. Title: Re: Accented letters Post by: Bueller on July 23, 2001, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Accented letters, posted by rickmoe on Jul 23, 2001
My way: if your PC is new enough, you should be able to go into Control Panel and add a Spanish keyboard, which you can then alternate with an English keyboard by pressing alt+shift. I don't know what the physical Spanish keyboard would cost in the States, but probably not too much. If you don't want to buy one, you just need to know where the ñ, ´, etc. are. Do like Bueller says, then cut up some tiny adhesive labels and affix them to your keys to show the following, English [ (key to the right of "p") is Spanish accent mark. (Type the [ before you type the vowel.) |
